Meet the Author

Sam "Slam" Hendricks is a 20 year fantasy football veteran who has teams in the World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF), National Fantasy Football Championship (NFFC) and the Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC). He has a .725 winning percentage at the World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF) and Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC). In 2008 he finished 7th overall in the Fantasy Football Players Championship. In 2009, he finished 16th Overall in the FFPC (out of 228 top players).

He is a member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association (FSWA).

Look for his rankings and expert analysis in magazines such as Fantasy Football Index and Fantasy Football Pro Forecast. Follow his mock draft teams in those expert leagues as well. During the season, check out his advice in the weekly "Ask the Expert" postings on FantasyIndex.com

    Excellent Resource

    This book is terrific for both the novice and the not-too experienced fantasy footballer. It is written in understandable English, it explains the basics, it doesn't make leaps the reader can't follow, it gives practical strategies for drafting and setting lineups, and the author doesn't talk down to the reader, despite his comprehensive knowledge. This is a perfect primer on fantasy football.

    Finally a fantasy football book for beginners!

    If you've ever wondered what FF is, why people are playing it, and how to get started yourself - this is the book for you! Sam Hendricks has taken the "basics" of fantasy football and broken it down into easy to understand chapters that are fun to read. He covers everything from the NFL and FF rules to draft tips and also includes important resources for help. This is a great book to learn how to play ff and should be required reading for the beginners in your league.
