From start to finish Farewell is a Great, Great celebration of Petra's 33 years of ministry and making music! My favorite is "Amazing Grace", but, there's not a track I dislike. It was so good to hear Greg X Volz sing some of the classic songs he had a hand in recording so long ago. John Lawry, also, I was happy to hear again on keyboards. I've listened to Farewell over, over and over again since I got it.

I had been looking forward to the release of this album for a long time, and I was not disappointed. Petra had released very few live recordings with John Schlitt on lead vocals. The last Greg X. Volz album was a live album, and now the last John Schlitt album is a live album, too. And if that's not cool enough, Greg X. Volz makes a guest appearance. John has rarely sounded this aggressive on their studio albums, and he, Bob Hartman, Greg Bailey, and Paul Simmons all shine from beginning to end. There's even a guest appearance from former keyboardist John Lawry. The best moments were the medleys (Rock medley and Accoustic Set, also known as the "Mellow Cello Medley"). Thank you Petra for blazing the trail for other bands to follow. Thank you, Jesus, for 33 years of this great band! Guys, you will be missed, but farewell, and again, thanks.
