A familiar story, "The Little Red Hen," accompanies other stories such as "The Shy Little Kitten," "Baby Farm Animals," and "A Day on the Farm." The original stories Books averaged 25 pages. This compilation is larger in format and printed on sturdier paper than the original Little Golden Books. They range from publications issued as early as 1942 to the most recent which was 1973. The book will appeal to beginning readers for its easy text and colorful illustrations. It is also an excellent book for parents to pull out for bedtime stories, because children will have a great selection to choose from. 2005, Random House, Ages 2 to 10.

    Great Buy

    This is a fantastic set of stories that includes: The Shy Little Kitten, The Boy with a Drum, The Animals of Farmer Jones, Baby Farm Animals, The Jolly Barnyard, The Fuzzy Duckling, Mrs. Mooley, A Name for Kitty, and A Day on the Farm. They are a wonderful collection!

    We love golden books!
