Overview

A furry, farting whoopie cushion on the front of this ingenious book-plus will have everyone laughing out loud. Bathroom humor and little boys just seem to go together, and the interactive component sets this book apart from others in the genre. Just before Fred heads out to impress the judges at the dog show, Grandma gives him a big treat-all of his favorite things to eat! Will he make it through the show without . . . uh . . . blowing the judges away? Charming illustrations and a well-told story make this more than just a novelty book. It’s a tale kids will want to enjoy over and over again.

I purchased this book for my first grandchild before she was even born and 4 years later, it's still her favorite book. She laughs histerically at poor Fred's plight and the whoopee cushion used for the sound effects makes each page turned an exercise in getting the desired effect. Her little brother, wanting to make the noise himself but can't because he's just too small, brings the book to me, and I bounce him up and down on Fred to create his "sounds". Both kids love it, and love the fuzzy fur outside. I like the solid construction of the book and know that it will last for even more grandchildren if they come along some day. It's one of our Top 5!
