Meet the Author

Bertrice Smallhas written thirty novels of historical romance and two erotic novellas. She is a New York Times bestselling author and the recipient of numerous awards. In keeping with her profession, Bertrice Small lives in the oldest English-speaking town in the state of New York, founded in 1640. Her light-filled studio includes the paintings of her favorite cover artist, Elaine Duillo, and a large library—but no computer as she works on an IBM Quietwriter 7. Her longtime assistant, Judy Walker, types the final draft. Because she believes in happy endings, Bertrice Small has been married to the same man, her hero, George, for thirty-eight years. They have a son, Thomas, a daughter-in-law, Megan, and two adorable grandchildren, Chandler David and Cora Alexandra. Longtime readers will be happy to know that Nicki the Cockatiel flourishes along with his fellow housemates, Pookie, the long-haired greige and white, Honeybun, the petite orange lady cat with the cream-colored paws, and Finnegan, the black long-haired baby of the family, who is almost two.

Susan Johnson is the award-winning, national bestselling author of the novels Hot Spot, Hot Legs, and Hot Pink, among others.

    more from this reviewer

These are four terrific erotic romances

"Mastering Lady Lucinda" by Bertrice Small. In 1750 Widow Lucinda rejects her sibling the Bishop's order to remarry. He arranges for her to be taught discipline by a master of the Devil's Disciples, but Lucinda cuts a deal to insure her brother meets his master while she seduces the club members into wanting more of her lusciousness.

"Risking It All" by Susan Johnson. In 1896 in Monte Carlo, a desperate Felicia risks all at the tables with the aid of Lord Grafton who offers her a few more nights with him.

"The Pleasure Game" by Thea Devine. In 1812 Regina decides to learn how to attract and keep a man; her friend Jeremy plans to be her permanent mentor.

"A Man And A Woman" by Robin Schone. Widow Megan wants intimacy in her relationships. Muhamed learned to make love in a harem, but not the pleasure of making love.
Neither expected much more than a tryst, but passion ignites between them.

These are four terrific erotic romances starring strong lead characters, especially the women in fascinating situations (not just sexual ones).

    Fascinating!!

This is the same book which published in 2000 by Kensington with the same title.

As always the four authors take you into their world of fantasy. Can't stop reading until the last page.

    A great read!!!

It's another wonderful book that I enjoyed. B. Small is one of my all time favorite's. I also enjoyed the other stories as well. This book was well put together. I enjoyed reading it and plan to read a few by some of the other author's.

    staid and old fashioned

If you're looking for smut you're looking at the wrong book. It was cute and sweet but some of the stories flowed poorly and for someone that really enjoys erotica this book was quite tame. It had sex scenes, but they were all staid and lacked in creativity. For a first time reader of erotica this is a great book, for someone that's read a few and is looking for something fresh, look elsewhere.

    Something Wicked

Okay, I'm not going to sum the story up for you...you'll just have to take my advice and know that's it's good. The story by B. Small was a bit naughty only because it involves more than one man. I did however enjoy the other stories more. If you like something that will heat up your nights this is the book for you. It's just wicked enough to keep you turning pages, but nice enough to make you smile.

    a HIT for DEVINE

I loved Thea Devine's story. As an avid reader of her's, in my opinion this was one of her best tales. The first story was a little to uhhh...sluty and unromantic. No offense to her personally, but Beatrice Small's story should come under the heading of smut. There's some sick stuff in it. I recomed this book to others simply for Thea Devine's erotic, romantic, and wickedly arousing story.

    Hot

This book was hot and sensual and had the best of these four authors I have seen. They were excellently written and were better than 'Captivated'. I would recommend this to all of those who love Erotic romance.
