Meet the Author

Janneman Hofmeyr was gebore in Ceres in die huidige Wes Kaap in Suid Afrika op 5 Julie 1943 en het sy eerste skooljare daar voltooi.
Het later saam met sy ouers verhuis na die verre Noord Transvaal in die Alldays omgewing agter die Soutpansgerg waar hy n besondere liefde vir die natuur en die bosveld in besonder ontwikkel het. Het verder skoolopleiding in Alldays en later in Messina ondergaan.
Het Wilma ontmoet in Oos Londen en is daar met haar getroud in Maart 1967. Hulle het drie kinders en het oor die jare met gereelde kampeer vakansies hul liefde vir die natuur ook by hul kinders gevestig.
Hy het veel later sy eerste gedig geskryf en bestee aansienlik tyd daaraan om sy werk goed na te vors en behoorlik af te rond. Hy publiseer in Augustus 2013 sy eerste bundel gedigte. Dit is op die internet aanlyn beskikbaar as eBoek sowel as in Sagteband formaat.
