Emmy-Award winning costume designer Janie Bryant offers readers a peek into the dressing room of Mad Men, revealing the design process behind the various characters' looks and showing every woman how to find her own leading lady style—whether it's vintage, modern, or bohemian.

Bryant's book will peek into the dressing room of Mad Men and reveal the design process behind the various characters' looks. But it will also help women learn how fashion can help convey their personality. She will help them cultivate their style, including all the details that make a big difference.

Great book but not on Nook

I have the hard copy of this book and loved it, however it has not been formatted for nook so many of the pages are cut off. Buy the hard copy.

Great if you love costumes or mad men

Well written and interesting! I read it before watching Mad Men and began watching Mad Men half way through. This book was great even being unfamiliar with the show. she has great advice on fashion and on costuming. Mad Men is more fun to watch with the extra layer of the costuming to watch. Easy light read. Very enjoyable and the author is really relatable

This is a review for the nook book version only!

The content itself is great, very informative and entertaining. But I was so disappointed in the translation to the nook color, many articles are cut off and not just slightly, whole sentences and pictures are nearly cut off, so if you're thinking of purchasing this book, buy it in book form, not as a nook book.

    Bridget's Review

The Fashion File is filled with beautifully designed clothes and amazing tips. What I liked most was the part about finding the perfect bra size, because so many women wear the wrong size. Another great piece shows you the ten different items every woman should have in her closet, which was interesting. This would make the perfect gift for the diva in your life.
