Holland was born in 1981 in Salt Lake City and raised in Columbia, Missouri. He holds a Bachelors of Journalism and Master of Arts from the University of Missouri.
While studying advertising at Mizzou, he worked at Wilson's Fitness Centers as a personal trainer. He is certified with NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association). He played college football and lacrosse, lived in England and loves being outdoors. When he's not writing awesome fitness books, Holland is a communications strategist in the branding and marketing field.
Holland currently lives in Salt Lake City with his wife, Jennifer and children, Ethan and Darin.
