Fatality

( 33 )

Overview

When Rose was invited to spend the weekend at Angelica's beautiful summer home, she had plans to just enjoy the luxury—the pool, the horses, the expensive cars. It was a chance to live like a princess, if only for a weekend. It didn't turn out that way, though: somebody ended up dead. That was four years ago, but now the police have reopened the case. They have Rose's diary—and she has to get it back.

What was up with that ending?

I read the book Fatlity, and I liked it, until I was reading the very last chapters. This part was what it was all leading up to, and it did a fantastic job at making me read it page after page not wanting to put it down. And then it ended in a way that made me want more and wanted me to write my own ending because when I found out the secret I felt stupid that I even wasted my time on reading it with such great anticipation. I belive that this book is a great book to read just dont really think the secrets will shock you, because they were stupid.

    Captivating till the very end...

Fatality is one of the best books that I have ever read! It holds you hostage till the very end. This book is about a girl named Rose, an honor student, that has a secret that will change her life. She won't tell... her mouth is stapled shut. But does her secret really hold the key to who murdered Kit, a partner of a big business firm? Will her silence be the thing to kill her? My favorite part of this book is when Rose finally tells her secret. You don't expect what she tells. When you open this book you are amazed at the way the author just pulls you in! It is a fast read that will hold you captive and I recommend this to everyone!

    Fatality, excellently written

I really did like this book. It was packed with mystery and it kept me on the edge of my seat. One bad thing about this book was that in the begging it took a little while to get into the book and it took a little while to understand why she didn't want anyone to read her diary. Another thing that I liked was that the book went into great detail about how kids felt and how they really act when they are acknowledges that they are there. The best part of the book is about the middle of it, maybe a little bit closer to the end, but it was action packed and had you actually be in the story and feel the tension in the book. One other thing that I did not like about it was the end. It was very boring and there are no other words for it, but all in all it was a very well written book and I would recommend it to anyone.

    Good Book

I thought that Fatality was a pretty good book. This book was easy to read, and easy to follow along. It also was pretty suspensful, so it kept you guessing. It is just one of those books that you don't want to put down. I think the best part of this book was the ending because it all works out for the main character Rose, in the end. Probably the worst part of the book was the beginning when Rose makes a stupid decision and decides to steal a police car. I would recommend for you to read this book, because in the end it turned out to be pretty good.

    Don't even bother

Don't waste your time with this book. Although I am rather impressed with the surprise twist at the end, it is not worth the effort. It did intrigue me, however, at how amazing Rose is at keeping a secret. I would never be able to have the pressure of having everyone against me. The best parts about this book were the times when this good little girl showed her bad side. For instance, she stole a police car! Yet she is a strait A, goody-goody girl. The worst parts were when it seemed like the author was trying to take up more time by babbling on. It seemed like she had to have a two hundred page book. I do not recommend this book. Go read Fahrenheit 451!

    I'd Say It's a Pretty Good One

I think that Fatality is quite a good book. It is about a girl named Rose, which has a secret hidden in her journal that some people think has to do with a murder that she may have witnessed. Fatality kept me on the edge of my seat for almost the entire book.It is quite a pretty easy read, but very interesting. It had me wanting to know what secret was hiding in her journal.Fatality has a big twist at the end that adds some interesting details to the story. Yet, the secret that is found in Rose¿s journal could use a little bit of spicing up. I recommend this book to almost anyone. I personally don¿t really like mystery books, but this one caught my attention.

    Good, but not the best.

It was really hard for me to get through the first part of the book. There was nothing in it that made me want to keep on reading it. Not an adventure book at all. In the end there was some suspense that was exciting but it seemed like it took forever to actually get there. It dragged on and on forever! The worst part to read in it is at the very first when rose is telling about how junior high was. It seemed like it was repeating itself over and over, just saying how mean kids were the whole time! I would not recommend this book to people who like adventure stories.

    bad book

this book was absolutely horrible. i hate to criticize here, but it was horrible. first of all, where did this take place, a puritan colony? the way these people were talking you'd think this was Shakespeare... or Barney the Purple Dinosaur! ok, the beginning was great. but the ending--FORGET IT! even I could have written better than that and my creativity is very limited! the secret was NOTHING--if rose thought she should hide THAT, shes crazy. and if she believed what her mother said, like, 'oh, if he found out, it would kill him', shes an idiot. she should have just come out about the secret already. actually, everyone WHO KNEW IT SHOULD HAVE.i think caroline b. cooney is a great writer, but this book was very sloppy, poorly written, and had bad messages. like: go ahead, take risks, as long as you dont get hurt! and: keep secrets if you think was people say is what youll take LITERALLY all in all, this was a poor book. its a waste of my money and my time.

    Umm - A Good Book

I chose to read this book for a class project. It started off well... with some mystery to it. It did get a bit confusing in the middle. The end was not the big thrilling ending I was expecting. It could of had a bit more of 'her' in to so to speak. It was 'A Good Book'

    i didn't like it

Fatality I didn¿t like this book very much for a couple of reasons. First of all the ending was horrible, and second the author would make you all anxious to see what was going to happen next, and it would just be nothing at all. For example she ripped out like ten pages from her diary on the weekend that a big murder happened, so you start to think that she has this deep dark secret, but it turns out to be something very dumb. There were some parts that I liked. When she is picking up garbage on the side of the rode, and this car tries to run her over, but just in time she jumps over the guard rail and, and she is save. I do not recommend this book to anyone but don¿t take my word for it.

Wait, what exactly is the point of this book again??

Throughout the whole time that I was reading this book, I was waiting for something big and exciting to happen but it never came. I do not reccomend this book to anyone because it is boring, never-ending, and confusing.

    suspense is cool

I read the book fatality. I really liked this book because it has a lot of suspense. I also liked the part where Rose stole the diary and flushed some pages down a fast food resaurant's toilet. You'll like this book if you like suspense and problem solving books. I would recommend this book to everyone.

I DoNt KnOw BoUt ThIs OnE!

I liked the book Fatality, up until the part where it ended! It didn't have a very good ending because it didn't fit the story plot. The best part of this book was how it was mysterious and very suspensful. I would recommend this novel to anyone who loves mystery but hates bad endings!

    Average Book

I did not like this book very much. The story is about a girl and a secret about a murder mystery. It was kind of slow, and not very exciting. It would've been better if there was more action and suspense. The worst part was the ending because the whole plot makes you think that it's going to be a big ending, and it's actually a little boring. The author didn't do the best job pulling it altogether. I would not recommend reading this book. There are a lot of murder/suspense books out there, and this was definitely not one of them.

    Exceptionally Good Book!

I really enjoyed this book, but her secret she was trying to protect was a little dumb. It didn't really have anything to do with the book.
