I bought these books against my will, but I am SOOO happy that I did. So far it's been an amazing read! I can't stop reading them and when I'm not I can't help but think about going home and reading them (ridiculous, I know). Alice does get a little annoying with this Jack and Peter nonsense and I have to admit that I love Jack! Something about Peter just rubs me the wrong way, he just treats Alice like a puppy. Throws her a bone when he feels like it and then kicks her to the curb when he had enough- legit reasons or not :). They have some kind of bonded blood, but her and Jack do as well, or they are bonded in someway. Plus, his love for her is real and not based off of her scent or blood... Alice has lust for Peter and thats it.. Just like Jane had when she met Jack.... They all just a bunch of lustful kids lol.. Anyways, i love the series. I mean, there's definitely a lot that you can compare w/ Twilight, but what makes this a lot better in a way is the maturity of the series. These books would be rated R, but it's not over the top either... It's just enough to be considered 'older young adult' lol.. I think I babbled enough. Bottom line- amazing series, minus the stress I get whenever Alice seems to be going for Peter instead of Jack... Peter is a superficial love and Jack is a natural love that wasn't forced. It just happened- and hey, she can even have a convo w/ Jack and function around him. That has to means something... :)

The only thought required is to figure out the multiple typos(?) and grammatical errors. Some parts are more riddled with them than others... You'd think it was typed on a touch screen! Other than that, for three bucks, it's worth it. I've enjoyed the series so far and it's hard to put down despite the many similarities to Twilight. Hocking is a genius to ride the vampire genre crave wave.

I have read ALL Amanda Hocking's books and think that they are way worth the time and money!...I was blown away by how much I liked them after seeing the price tags of "Free". ".99" and "$2.99"! I was just about to blogg her and ask when she was gonna get really legit with this!....I'm ready for book 5 in this series and the next in the "Switched" series!

This book makes everything thats going on better but more complicated. I loved it wen jack bites alice because it shows her how much he loves her. My favorite series by far. (I just ignore the errors and replace tje mistakes with wat i think it was supposed to be)

I couldn't put it down. If you are a teenager and love books about vampires this book and the series is for you but make sure you read the 1st book My Blood Approves.

I would say this book is so good, I sat and read for 4 hours without realizing it had been 4 hrs. Then even when I tried to put the book down (because it was 2am) I didn't want to. I had started reading this book and immediately went back to buy the next one in the series. The book reminds me of the Twilight series but I would say this is MORE interesting. Keeps my attention and I'm wanting to read it.

Overall, I am enjoying this series; however, as other readers have pointed out, there are way too many grammatical and spelling errors. It has a tendency to become distracting when its necessary to stop and figure out what the writer intends to state versus what is actually stated. This book had a tendency to drag on a bit at times. There was also too much redundancy throughout with regard to Alice and Jack. The main theme seemed to be Alice whining about everything, to the point where I was getting irritated with her. I wish there had been more focus around Peter as I waited most of the book for his reappearance. When he was finally presented, it was a bit of a flop. On a more upbeat note, the third book was quite a bit better with regard to the story line. I'm moving on to the fourth now in hopes that Peter plays a stronger role because I don't think I can take much more of Jack Jack Jack Jack...

Overall, the book was very well written. There were some funny quotes that I'll include on my Goodreads page at a later time. My favorite parts were the action scenes and Alice's scenes with Jack and Peter were steamy. A few things that did not sit well with me: It seems like Alice isn't getting emotionally stronger for herself, even though she thinks she is. Her tears started to grind my gears :P...Jane was right about her in that bathroom scene, though. Hopefully though with the way Fate ended, Alice will gain some emotional stability and confidence. By the way, I've read any of the Twilight novels, I've only listened to all 3 movies because my uncle sat through them and they are VERY CHEESY and overdone...ok ok...enough Twilight-blasting. I love "My Blood Approves" and look forward to buying the rest of the series. Milo became foxy in my eyes

The story was well balanced and had me up until the wee hours of the morning debating on how the twists and turns in this axtonishing book would end.

To me this a very intreging series along with her other books. The first series i read was the trylle series. So good! I would recomend Amanda Hockings books to teens and young adults wanting to get traped and facinated in her amazing, well written books/novels. You dont want to dare to put down one of her books! You should also read her watersong series. JUST SAYING!

This book was great! I loved the twists and turns of the plot! However the editing and grammatical errors drove me nuts

So i don't get how this series is being called a ripoff of it. I read twilight more than 5 years ago along with the rest of the series later. I liked it, but never did it suck me in as these books have. I've re-read this whole series many times and it doesn't get old. Sometimes 21 year-olds want a little more depth to our paranormal romance reads and Amanda doesn't fail to deliver it, at least IMO.

This 2nd book in the series was just as good as the first. I can not wait to read book 3. I hate that I have almost read the whole series. I hope there are more to come.

This series is so good and I absolutely love it. This book was so good and I loved the story that unfolded. Once I started I found it impossible to put down. I definitely recommend this story and this series, and I know that you will enjoy it. :)

This series brought me to the world like no other but it was defiantly aimed for a more mature age group. It was almost a bit awkward to read at the more intimate parts but all together it was fantastic and was able to hold my attention. Many times i would find myself reading to one in the morning.

This series is to die for. It was impossible for me to put down! Please take the time to read these books! I believe amanda hocking is a much better writer than the author of the twilight series.

after reading the trylle books, I never thought Amanda Hocking would ever disappoint me but she did. This girl lacks of character even for her age she is so naive and immature, this is the only series I ever read that simply can't finish. I stopped at the middle of book 2 and found myself skipping pages and waiting for the main character to grow up, I lost interest and left the book unfinished. the similarities with the twilight saga are very distracting as well.
