Love it! Great for 'older' young adults!!

I bought these books against my will, but I am SOOO happy that I did. So far it's been an amazing read! I can't stop reading them and when I'm not I can't help but think about going home and reading them (ridiculous, I know). Alice does get a little annoying with this Jack and Peter nonsense and I have to admit that I love Jack! Something about Peter just rubs me the wrong way, he just treats Alice like a puppy. Throws her a bone when he feels like it and then kicks her to the curb when he had enough- legit reasons or not :). They have some kind of bonded blood, but her and Jack do as well, or they are bonded in someway. Plus, his love for her is real and not based off of her scent or blood... Alice has lust for Peter and thats it.. Just like Jane had when she met Jack.... They all just a bunch of lustful kids lol.. Anyways, i love the series. I mean, there's definitely a lot that you can compare w/ Twilight, but what makes this a lot better in a way is the maturity of the series. These books would be rated R, but it's not over the top either... It's just enough to be considered 'older young adult' lol.. I think I babbled enough. Bottom line- amazing series, minus the stress I get whenever Alice seems to be going for Peter instead of Jack... Peter is a superficial love and Jack is a natural love that wasn't forced. It just happened- and hey, she can even have a convo w/ Jack and function around him. That has to means something... :)

    Just for fun....

The only thought required is to figure out the multiple typos(?) and grammatical errors. Some parts are more riddled with them than others... You'd think it was typed on a touch screen! Other than that, for three bucks, it's worth it. I've enjoyed the series so far and it's hard to put down despite the many similarities to Twilight. Hocking is a genius to ride the vampire genre crave wave.

    Stay away! Save your money!

This book had so many grammar errors and missing words that it made me furious reading it. Who edited and proofed this book? It was painful slogging my way through. The third book in the series was even worse, I felt as if I was hitting ice with a sore tooth as I was read the poorly edited parts. I'm not getting the 4th book. I've had enough of it.

Good but not as good as her others

I cringed constantly while reading as i have girls in their teens and with all the drinking, sex/make outs, and sluttish behavior of the main leads friend...... well it is one of those i wont be recomending to my girls for several years. But thats just me.

This book makes everything thats going on better but more complicated. I loved it wen jack bites alice because it shows her how much he loves her. My favorite series by far. (I just ignore the errors and replace tje mistakes with wat i think it was supposed to be)

Not as good as the first - tendency to drag & Alice whines too much

Overall, I am enjoying this series; however, as other readers have pointed out, there are way too many grammatical and spelling errors. It has a tendency to become distracting when its necessary to stop and figure out what the writer intends to state versus what is actually stated.

This book had a tendency to drag on a bit at times. There was also too much redundancy throughout with regard to Alice and Jack. The main theme seemed to be Alice whining about everything, to the point where I was getting irritated with her. I wish there had been more focus around Peter as I waited most of the book for his reappearance. When he was finally presented, it was a bit of a flop.

On a more upbeat note, the third book was quite a bit better with regard to the story line. I'm moving on to the fourth now in hopes that Peter plays a stronger role because I don't think I can take much more of Jack Jack Jack Jack...

Well Written, but Alice just annoyed me again

Overall, the book was very well written. There were some funny quotes that I'll include on my Goodreads page at a later time. My favorite parts were the action scenes and Alice's scenes with Jack and Peter were steamy. A few things that did not sit well with me: It seems like Alice isn't getting emotionally stronger for herself, even though she thinks she is. Her tears started to grind my gears :P...Jane was right about her in that bathroom scene, though. Hopefully though with the way Fate ended, Alice will gain some emotional stability and confidence. By the way, I've read any of the Twilight novels, I've only listened to all 3 movies because my uncle sat through them and they are VERY CHEESY and overdone...ok ok...enough Twilight-blasting. I love "My Blood Approves" and look forward to buying the rest of the series. Milo became foxy in my eyes

    highly dissapointed

after reading the trylle books, I never thought Amanda Hocking would ever disappoint me but she did. This girl lacks of character even for her age she is so naive and immature, this is the only series I ever read that simply can't finish. I stopped at the middle of book 2 and found myself skipping pages and waiting for the main character to grow up, I lost interest and left the book unfinished. the similarities with the twilight saga are very distracting as well.

    Highly Recommend this book!

I would say this book is so good, I sat and read for 4 hours without realizing it had been 4 hrs. Then even when I tried to put the book down (because it was 2am) I didn't want to.

I had started reading this book and immediately went back to buy the next one in the series.

The book reminds me of the Twilight series but I would say this is MORE interesting. Keeps my attention and I'm wanting to read it.
