I came across this book completly by accident and I am so glad that I did! This book had everything that I look for in a paranormal romance: mystery, love, tearful moments, and moments that litterally make you LOL! If you havn't read this book yet I highly recomend that you do and can say that you won't be dissapointed! I hope you enjoy and go on to read the rest in the series!
I was not asked to leave a review but did so on my own with the only reason being to get word spread so that everyone knows about this insightful and inspiring author!

Rebecca is at a crossroads in her life. She has no job, no family, no friends and no place to call home. But one night changes all of that. She’s driving at night and her car is making sounds and she knows there is something wrong with it. That is when she is drawn to a town she is sure she didn’t see before on her map and wasn’t on her GPS.
She stumbles, or rather drives into a town that is full of people who are like one big family. One that takes care of its own. A town that is surprised she was even able to find.
What she wasn’t expecting was the generosity of the people who took her in under their care when they learned she was alone in the world. What she really wasn’t expecting was Aleksander Arkadion. This giant of a man appears in the diner she is at, kisses her, stomps away and leaves her lightheaded and dizzy.
Rebecca learns the next day that Arkadia isn’t just a town that isn’t on any map it’s a town of shifters. Lions, tigers and bears (oh my), though there are more wolves than tigers, and a few other kinds of shifters. Remarkably she takes the news in stride like it’s no big deal. It’s then that she learns that Alek’s is her mate; he’s just a ‘grumpy ass bear’ who is too stubborn and scared because of an event in his past to admit that a human, one as tiny as Rebecca, is his mate.
She quickly falls in love with the town, the people and makes friends with them. She has an uncanny ability to make everyone feel comfortable, even with each other when they hadn’t before.
But life in a town of shifters when you are the only human isn’t easy and she soon finds that evil people will stop at nothing to use her as a pawn to get what they want.
Will Alek’s pull the proverbial stick out of his ass and accept Rebecca? Will he finally complete the mating that he inadvertently started the night she found the town? Will her new found family and friends accept her even though she is human? Will they save her when her life is at stake? Will she finally have the family she desperately wants and needs?
I fell in love with this book, with this town, with the citizens. Liam, Kate, Ashby, Rian, Ma, and even Sebastian. Okay fine, I fell in love with everyone. Well except for the bad guys, and I know there are more than a few of them.
This book is a great start to a series that is sure to win the hearts of anyone who reads it. It certainly won my heart.
I shudder to think that if not for a random contest (that I admit I forgot I had even entered) and won I might never have found this gem. Alanea has earned herself a fan for life from me, unless she kills off someone I love then it’s all over.
Note: I was not asked or required to leave a review when I won this book.
