"You can't fight fate's wish. You can only try to veer it in your favor."
Great quick read about powerful beings who are fighting their love for each other. One has been hurt and doesn't want to be hurt again. The other is trying to protect his love from being hurt.
Once they figure out who the threats are coming from, will they admit their true feelings?
Favorite passage: Anahid gave him a sympathetic look. "It's probably best if you're not here when I do this. It'll bother you to hear her cry out in pain." "No. I'm not leaving her until I know she's OK." He never wanted to leave her, but knew that was no longer an option.

There is a certain amount of chemistry that you hope to get when you pick up a book with a cover as hot as this one. I wish I could say I was pleasantly surprised to say that the story did not disappoint. However, that would be a lie as Ms. Taiden has not only delivered exactly what she promised, but she's surpassed it. A bit of angst over wanting someone that no longer wants you, a chemistry so combustible it practically jumps out of the book and characters you genuinely want to see make up and end up together again, this book has a little bit of everything. I can't even complain about the secondary characters. I loved Sharmila's mother and if she ever got her own book, I'd be the first in line to get it.Was this review helpful? This story was both dramatic and funny. The relationship between Sharmila and her mother is such that they talk about their love lives. I don’t know how I’d react if my mother told me I needed to get laid! The history behind Sharmila’s marriage to Zahir is kind of sad, but that’s what adds the drama and interest. The magic is pretty cool and used in very creative ways *wink wink*. I will say that the conflict was a little two dimensional making it very predictable and the whole plot seemed a little rushed and just too easy. That being said, it had a cute ending and even sounded like there might be a sequel sometime.
Fate’s Wish is a story of reconnecting, supportive friends and family, and magic. Filled with fun and sizzling love scenes, it will satisfy your craving for a quick paranormal erotic read!
