Forgive me, this is the first review I've ever provided on a book online. So, just go ahead and excuse me for anything I say that isn't perfect in substance and structure.
I felt connected to Sylvia Browne on an early book (From the Other Side and Back) and have read others, not all. However, when browsing choices at B&N, felt this would be "interesting". In particular, I wanted to see how other religions viewed the "Creator".
My filters of a Christian in the Lutheran tradition have been muted over the past decade to embrace warmly others of all traditions. Of course, I have questions and challenges because my own faith journey has it's purpose and mission. However, I have friends of other faiths and this edition was so "affirming" of how we can better interpret others' perspectives and even "jading".
I find God, the Father a loving one. Much more than a mean, destructive, consuming God. I just find Browne a "breath of fresh air" in the American din of religious "telling you what to do", rather than "doing what we are taught and shown by His Son".
One day, I hope we learn to capture the love and service of WWJD rather than the contemptable judgementalism that pervades our faith. However, that exists in some other faiths too.

This book answered many questions I have had about God, history of religion, and why things are the way they are. Sylvia explains everything from early Christianity to how God always interacts with us in our every day life.
