I wish I had a mom and dad like Dave did, although my parents were similar in that they were a poor farming family.
Dad grew up in an orphans home and never learned how to say, "I Love You", but he and I were close. As for my mom -
she showed me many times how much she did not love me, but in fact hated me. But, somehow I always knew I had the
love of my Father, God Almighty and my best friend growing up and even now is Jesus Christ. As for this book "The Father's Love", I really liked reading it. One day began like most others for Dave Moore. It was Friday,
just another day of working hard and going home. A letter and a car accident would change his life forever.Dave did not know what the Bible said about forgiveness. He did not know how Jesus asked God the Father to forgive those
who beat and crucified him. But he learned this later and something had changed inside of Dave. His life was different now,
so much more positive. Something had happened and Dave made a vow to God that he would serve Him the rest of his life.
A miracle happened: The miracle of salvation. God's timing is perfect and His love for us is infinite and the greatest love imaginable.Readers, I hope you take the time to read this book. Dave Moore doesn't believe he is a writer, but I say he is a wonderful writer
who wrote about his journey and many miracles of divine healing. If you like reading real-life stories, I know you will love this one. It will touch your heart and if your need a "change" in your life -
this book will definitely speak to you.

A life altering true story!
On a routine Friday evening Dave Moore's life was drastically altered. His son David, was a freshman at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He had an on-campus job and often came home late after work or playing basketball. That evening Dave's wife discovered a letter. David was gone. His letter explained that he was struggling desperately in school, and although he had tried to turn things around, his frustration was unbearable. In a postscript David explained that his car was at the Greyhound Bus Station in Ann Arbor, a short distance from Ypsilanti. As Dave's fear and panic consumed him, he and his wife drove frantically to Ann Arbor where David's car was found, but David was gone. David's girlfriend only remembered him mentioning something about Dayton, Ohio. Dave grabbed his wallet and keys, withdrew money from an ATM and sped south to Dayton. Police and other authorities were notified, homeless shelters were checked, but Dave's search was futile. An employee at the Dayton Greyhound station affirmed that David was headed to Atlanta, GA. Dave was overwrought and suffering exhaustion throughout his frantic search, but he continued to Atlanta, and after exhausting all possibilities he returned home. As the search from home continued Dave made a call to a church in Atlanta, explaining all of the details surrounding David's disappearance and the unsuccessful search. He stated that David might still be in Atlanta. The woman he spoke to offered him amazing Christian love and compassion, as so many people had done throughout this distressing pursuit. Strangers at every facet of this harrowing ordeal had reached out to help Dave, and prayed with him for David's safe return. The compassion and support from the woman on the phone opened Dave's eyes to the power of Christian love, which brought him to a life changing spiritual breakthrough.
This true story is an emotionally charged, heartwrenching portrayal of a father's love and loss, and his subsequent gain. Dave Moore has written a raw story of unimaginable loss and heartbreaking pain. His openness and honesty regarding his agonizing search for his son are only surpassed by Dave's discovery of God's love, after experiencing overwhelming Christian compassion, love and prayer from everyone he encountered in his plight. This is a powerful story of both realism and spirituality. Emotions run high throughout this true account the author's life altering traumatic experiences.

"The Father’s Love" is an emotionally charged and inspiring short novel written by Dave Moore. This story is inspired by true events and real people. Dave Moore’s son, David, is a freshman in college who is facing difficult times when he suddenly leaves a note and vanishes. David is too afraid to admit to his father that he might have let him down. When Dave’s son disappears, he sets out on the most heart-wrenching mission that a father wishes they would never have to go on. The pain and desperation drives Dave to the depths of hell and back. Dave’s story is not only about him being a father, but also about trusting in The Father above to help him find his son.
This short Christian novel is truly inspiring and uplifting. Even though this is a short book, the wording flows nicely and the plot is solid. Each chapter is filled with emotions, faith, loss and love. The cover of the book is truly captivating and catches the reader’s eye. It is a book that the reader will want to pick up and not put down. Any parent can relate to this story as we all have fears that our children will wonder off, be abducted or even worse. Dave Moore brings us along on his true-life, desperate journey to find his son and God is always there alongside of him. I could not set this book down and had to finish it in one setting because I was so emotionally invested in this incredible story of strength and determination. Dave is entwined with personal tragedy and incredible pain, and then is transformed before our eyes. God truly does change lives if we let him in and accept his help. When Dave is at his lowest and he surrenders to God, he will provide the answers that Dave so desperately needs. I recommend this book to people in all walks of faith as well as every parent. This is a must read and something we can all relate to. We all need to be reminded of how strong and unconditional God’s love for us is. Dave Moore hits it out of the ball-park with this outstanding short Christian novel.
What I enjoyed most about this book was how Dave took the time to relive every detail, every thought, and every emotion he felt during this ordeal. I appreciated how this book was not only about his path to find his "prodigal" son, but his path to find his "Heavenly Father". At some points I had to put the book down just to catch my breath, I found myself reading faster and faster, wanting to find out more and more. Would he find his son? How would he and his wife deal with it if his son never came back? And if he did return, how would his father receive him. I hope to never have to go through any of this, but you can see how God comes through with Dave Moore, and transforms him. Our sin-filled world is full of heartaches, moments of hopelessness, and times of pain where you don't know what will happen next. Dave went through it all in a short period of time. I'm glad to read that he turned to God in prayer in prayer, but best of all I'm glad God answered his prayer. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This book will make you want to retrace the hand of God in your own life... You will be surprised by some the places you will see him in your past! How amazing that He would move on our behalf in such a way that we can literally recount moment by moment the timing and placement of His hand. ?I needed to be reminded of those times in my own life, and I needed to be encouraged that in the vulnerability of parenting we learn to be both better parents to our children and better children to our heavenly Father.?
Thank you for blessing us with your testimony.

No story is better then a real and honest story, and that's exactly what The Father's Love is. A father, on a journey full of fear, questions, and determination, will not rest until his son is found. I know both of these incredible people and knew of this situation before reading the book but was absolutely blown away at how God truly had his hand in all of it. No matter if you have experienced something like this or not, are a non-believer or devoted christian, or have just come across this book by chance, it is truly a moving and profound piece of work. From one cover to the other you will experience pain, joy, disappointment, hope, determination, faith, and love. I will warn you though, whenever you decide to pick it up and start reading, make sure you have no plans because you will not want to stop reading until the last page is through! Was this review helpful?
