    FE General AM must

This book definitely covers the AM portion of the FE exam very well. I would advise anyone taking the FE exam to get this book and study for atleast one month prior to the exam. It is wise to know how to solve the problems prior to arriving at the test site. There is not enough time to search through the NCEES supplied reference hand book and learn how to solve the problems during the test. Lindeburgh's book covers everything that is required. I chose to take the Electrical Discipline afternoon exam, and therefore can not comment as to whether this book is satisfactory for the FE General PM test. I can assure you that you'll need an additional reference for the FE PM electrical exam.

Great for rapid or paced preparation

This book is the best one I have studied from in preparing for the FE exam. I really liked the way the book was organized. Each chapter contains a specific topic that will be on the FE, and within each chapter the topics are further broken down into sections. This setup allows you to easily focus on one subject at a time. I have seen other books set up in the same manner, but this one is by far the best. In the beginning of each chapter there are diagnostic exams to use for practice and/ or to determine where your weaknesses and strengths are in a particular area. Each section contains a thorough explanation of the topic and practice questions with detailed solutions. The book also contains a sample FE, general morning and general afternoon session, to practice with. All the practice problems will prepare you for the ones you will see on the FE. Finally, I mostly liked this book because it gave you a schedule to use. That made studying easier and allowed me to pace myself and really get into the subjects I needed to review. I took the FE this past April and I passed!!! If you buy this book and really study, then you will too.

Great study guide for the FE/EIT

This is a great book for preparing for the FE exam. It provides a review of all subjects, practice problems in all subjects w/ solutions, and even a practice exam. I did find a couple problems that had incorrect answers, but overall, it was excellent. I used it to study in one week (lots of studying), and I feel like I did well on the FE. I would recommend this book to anyone preparing for the FE exam!

    REMEMBER IT'S A REVIEW

THE QUESTIONS ARE VERY SIMILIAR TO WHAT YOU'D FIND ON THE ACTUAL TEST. ALSO, THEIR EXPLANATIONS OF ANSWERS ARE DONE VERY WELL. THEY GIVE A BRIEF OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCIPLINE BEING REVIEWED. OVERALL, IF YOU ACTUALLY SIT AND TRY ALL THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOOK, YOU'LL DO WELL ON THE ACTUAL EXAM.

(PR)
