It's ridiculous how many people are diagnosed with cancer each year. While we've gotten a lot better at treating cancer, it would be much better to figure out ways of preventing the problem to save people all that time, energy, and occasionally heartbreak. In Fear Cancer No More, Mauris Emeka takes the stance that cancer is an illness caused by nutritional deficiency and that it can be prevented if the appropriate measures are taken. Some issues that are approached in the book are: How your diet affects and could cause cancer cells, the importance of oxygen and water in fighting cancer, alkalizing your body, and so much more. With a scientific and realistic flavor to the information, it's easy to understand and believe how the different factors could benefit you and how they could fight cancer.

Some special features that were included in this book, but apparently not the first edition, was a Q and A of common questions regarding cancer. There was also some interesting information about oils that can be helpful if consumed. While I do believe that there were some items overlooked and that the cause of cancer is a bit generalized, I think that the book can be helpful to initiate a healthier way of living for folks who are at risk for cancer. The Q and A section was particularly informative for me, and answered a lot of the lingering questions that I've had about cancer. Overall, Fear Cancer No More is a self-help guide that gives you new ideas to think about regarding your current lifestyle choices in being healthy

Cancer Book -- Preventive and healing information everyone should know

Recently I was given a small book on cancer to review. The book's title is 'Fear Cancer No More', and in this book, the author Mauris L. Emeka describes the wholistic, natural way of approaching the treatment of cancer. As a traditionally trained physician I was never exposed to most of the concepts, ideas and facts presented in this book and if I had not spent the last 25 years in studying the concepts of treating cancer by natural methods, I probably would never have read this book --much less promote it. This book is a simnple explanation of why a person needs to change their diet when they discover they have cancer. Mr. Emeka reviews a variety of other methods that are safe and in my experience should bring the cancer patient into a better state of health with a heightened immune system. I have seen a number of patients who followed this type of advice who have achieved either remission or stabilization in their cancers. I believe that anyone who discoveers they have cancer should read and apply the information contained in this book...Many times the information contained in this book will do you more good than all of the cut, burn and poison approaches your conventional physician will recommend -- BUT not all of the time! So you have to try to use the best of both and find yourself a really good open minded conventional physician to work with while you apply the teachings given in this book. All in all, this is a very valuable book IF people will buy and use it.
