Cat Conrad, live in Texas with their iguanas, Popeye and Darwin; a mali uromastyx named (appropriately) O’Malley; and a leopard tortoise named Shelley (for the poet, of course).

    feast of great writing

The "Morganville Vampires" books, despite their short page count ("Feast of Fools" came in at under 300 pages) manage a balance between development, plot, action, and dialogue that is rarely accomplished well even in books twice the page count. I remember a time when I feared that Claire's point of view might become tedious, that her bookishness and logical internalization might interfere with the direction of the books. Boy was I wrong, and "Feast of Fools" shows just how far young Claire has come: from a shy, reserved teenager to a genuine heroine who is smart, loyal, stands by her convictions, and yet a part of her dreads the role she's been given and wishes she could be a normal teenager. Even Eve, Michael, and Shane have grown to understand that their experiences in the town of Morganville have to be pushed aside to defeat Mr. Bishop. The best thing about "Feast of Fools" is that the interactions between Claire, Eve, Michael and Shane have evolved into such a tangible, intricate understanding and their relationship and care for one another shows. Michael, still dealing with his vampirism, is fighting to stay true to himself and hiding the parts of him that crave blood and put his friends in danger. Eve is forced to deal with her family when tragedy strikes, and is still unsure how to handle her deadly brother. And Shane is visibly trying to accept what Michael has become, and his relationship with Claire becomes conflicted when one of Mr. Bishop's vampires tries to control him, body and soul. Like the prior Morganville series, this story was darn near impossible to put down. It's also not a stand-alone--so beware, you're going to want to have "Lord of Misrule" close at hand, because I promise you will not want to wait too long to find out what happens next. This would be a great TV series.

Feast of Fools - The 4th book in the series that has the arrival of 3 vampires.

Since the arrival of Bishop, Morganville has gotten stranger than it already seems. Claire's parents have decided to move to Morganville, much to her utter surprise. Not only that but there's an upcoming event called the Feast of Fools. As the town of Morganville prepares for the feast, Claire has a feeling that something's not right about it. Awesome series that you should definitely read.

    Amazing series!

When I first picked up this series I was unsure of what I would find. I was looking for a new exciting series. Once I picked it up though I couldn't put it down! When Clarie was struggling to find her way in her new town I felt it all with her. The author is very desriptive and good with emotion. Book four has been one of my favorites so far. The action is intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole book. Especially when she becomes friends with a crazy old vampire who is losing his mind! Trust me this is one series you will absolutely love!

    Great Read!

One of the best of the series so far. Really moves the plot forward and brings more Myrnin (who I can't help but love)! Several surprises in this book.

    OMG!!!!!!!

In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans live in relative peace. Student Claire Danvers has never been convinced, especially with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-school vampire who cares nothing about harmony. What he wants from the town living and its dead is unthinkably sinister. It is only at a formal ball, attended by vampires and their human dates, that Claire realizes the evil trap Mr. Bishop has set for Morganville.

Feast Of Fools - Awesome Book!

Rachel Caine does it again with the 4th installment of The Morganville Vampires Series, Feast Of Fools! With the arrival of Bishop the semi-peaceful town of Morganville is turned upside down and things don't look good for the members of the Glass House. Can Claire and her friends come out of this alive...? Okay if you haven't started this series, which I don't see why you haven't, otherwise why would you be reading a review for the 4th book in a series... Anyway if you haven't started this series, you totally should!!

Feast of Fools (Morganville Vampires Series #4)

I like this series. Since I read the first book of this series I can't seem to stop reading them. This book is awesome. It's another adventure you will take with Claire, Shane, Eve and Micheal. If you like thrill, romance, mystery, off the edge if your seat kind of books, then this is a must read series. Feast of Fools is about a evil vampire Mr. Bishop who comes into Morganville Tx. and doesn't like to follow the rules or careless of harmony. He wants to run the town and be the ruler and give free range to the vampires to hunt on humans. But, any vampires that don't follow him he kills them. So, this leave Claire,Shane, Eve, Michael and the other good vampires to put a stop to Mr. Bishop. Before he ruins Morganville. It's a must read series...If you are a Twilight fan like me then you will like this series too.
