    Three years later...

After using this canoe for three years (almost weekly throghout the year), I would have to say that this canoe is a must-build if you desire a small, light and virtually maintainence-free canoe that is visually stunning! Buy this book, build this boat!

    I built this featherweight canoe!

With limited knowledge of boat building, I build Mac's Featherweight 'Wee Lassie'. Mac does a good job of relating the mechanics of creating not just a canoe, but a work of art. This book covers all the bases you need to overcome the intimidation of venturing into this very rewarding endeavor--boat building. I would like to have seen a few more pictures to help explain certain building steps. But all in all, this is a book that certainly should be considered if you have any interest in building a solo canoe. And once you finished the first canoe...you'll be longing to build the next one!
