Overview

Federal thinking is foreign to the modern mind. "Federal" has come to mean nothing more than centralized or big. Because your federal government has become so uncovenantal, it is not surprising that the original meaning of the word is lost. But federal thinking is the backbone of historic Protestant theology, and the Church needs to recover the covenantal understanding of federal headship. Husbands are to lead their families, taking responsibility for them as covenant heads-as federal husbands.

Wilson has done it again. He has stepped on my toes by reminding me, as well as all male Covenant heads of their respective homes, of my duty and responsibility as a husband and as a man..according to God's standard and not man's. Yet, also, he reminds husbands the joy of being the 'federal (covenantal)husband they are called to be. This short book is what every married man needs to read...and if they do perhaps, just perhaps, our homes..our churches..our society will return to what they are called to be under our Covenant God. Wilson doesn't with-hold any punches and gets to the point. I will be using it for our covenant men's book study and then they will move on to his sequel: 'Fidelity'..also a must read.
