What is rap? What is fusion? What is funk? I don't know how, but they all sprung from this 1974 album. Duke was not the originator of any of these but this sweet jazz recording wove and braided these musical movements into one fine cream-filled Jalapeñ o. His keyboard work in phenominal, and the guitar sounds like John McLaughlin and Santana in Mahavishnu Orchestra but no....It's Frank Zappa !!! Buy this CD. It is haunting. Was this review helpful?
