All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Dierks Bentley is one of Nashville's best singer/songwriters of the 2000s, and part of his appeal lies in his casual display of his deep roots, how he built upon Waylon and Merle without ever seeming overly indebted by their legacy; it made him sound grounded, while his sentiments and crisp, clean sound made him seem modern. Bentley doesn't abandon this synthesis on his fourth studio album, Feel That Fire, but he does streamline and simplify it, reining in the ragged country elements and revving up the fist-pumping guitars in an apparent attempt to push beyond the country charts and into some kind of heartland rock crossover. This isn't a huge leap for Bentley, who has never been a roughneck, but he's best when he gets back to his roots and sounds as inventive and vigorous as he did his previous three albums -- when he teams up for a duet with Patty Griffin on "Beautiful World," when he co-writes with Rodney Crowell on "Pray," and, especially, when he teams up with Ronnie McCoury and his band for a rampaging, intoxicating bluegrass closer, "Last Call." These are full-blooded, substantive songs, the kind that linger in the memory.

    Dierks Bentley's Feel That Fire

Dierks Bentley's Feel That Fire album is a true testament to his growing and evolving talent in country music. I have been a Dierks fan for a long time, and believe that his new album Feel That Fire is the best yet. Songs like Sideways, Feel That Fire, and Life On The Run are feel good songs that are sure to get a crowd ampt up. <BR/> The album also has songs like I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes that show the sexier more sensual side to Dierks' music. Songs like this are why Dierks has been voted for on Sexiest Country Songs and Sexiest Country Male Artist. <BR/> Better Believer, Pray, You Hold Me Together, and Beautiful World are passion filled songs that showcase Dierks' passionate nature. <BR/> Dierks Bentley's songwriting talent has grown and become more passionate the more successful he has became in the country music genre. Feel That Fire is definately a must buy to any music fan. It is an album filled with feel good, sensual, passionate music that Dierks' is known for by his fans.<BR/>Darcy<BR/>Missouri

    Feel the Fire....Smokin Hot

Feel that Fire"....What a perfect name for Dierks Bentley's latest CD. You can definitely feel the fire and passion that he has for his music. I think that this CD by far is the best one yet.<BR/> <BR/>I have been a huge (some might say obsessed) Dierks fan since the beginning and his latest work really shows just how much he has evolved into the rising Country Music Star that he is today. These songs are solid, fun and passionate and I think this CD contains a great mix of songs that show all the sides of Dierks musical talent. This CD without a doubt illustrates why Dierks has been successful playing all types of venues from small county fairs to Bonaroo.<BR/> <BR/>Songs like Life on the Run, Sideways, Little Heartwrecker (my favorite), Here She Comes and Feel That Fire are up beat, feel good songs that will make you want to turn it up, dance and sing along. I can see them as a perfect fit for his "get the crowd" going style that he displays at his live shows.<BR/> <BR/>I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes, I Can't Forget Her and Pray are true full of passion songs. They show the softer, sexier side of Dierks. Which is why Dierks was voted one of the top 3 sexiest men in country music this past year.<BR/> <BR/>Beautiful World, You Hold Me Together and Better Believer are strong songs with powerful lyrics that you will find yourself singing along to. They are down to earth, make you think, real songs that are easy to relate to and they balance out this CD.<BR/> <BR/>Last Call, is the perfect wrap up song for this CD. Its Blue Grass sound will have you tapping your toe to the beat as well as breaking out the "air" banjo so you can pick along. It is the kind of song that you might just want to play one more time before you are finished listening to the CD.<BR/> <BR/>"Feel that Fire" is a must have for any level country music fan. It's the kind of CD that you will find yourself listening to over again from the first track thru the last one. It is full of songs that could all possibly be top single hits. I can hardly wait to watch the videos on AFN as they come out. If they are as good as the songs he will have a major accomplishment and truley something to be proud of. I think this CD is going to skyrocket and be the launch that Dierks needs to get him to the next level in his career. And this Dierks fan is proud to say that I have been here since the beginning!! Great Job Dierks!!! This one is really over the top.

    what a great cd

I bought the CD as soon as it came out. I just loved it. I love the sound of his voice and enjoyed the ballads as well as the ones that make you want to crank up the radio and sing along. I can't wait to listen to it enough so that I can sing along with the songs like I do with all his previous music. Loved it.

    Dierks does it again!

Building off of his last album "Long Trip Alone", Dierks Bentley's "Feel That Fire" is characterized by strong lyrics, catchy tunes, and amazing vocals. The album is an attention grabber from the very first note and continues to maintain a great pace all the way through the last song. It is an album worth every penny!

Feel That Fire? -- You Bet!

Feel That Fire is spawning a lot of blazing clichés this week, and all of them are right! This is one hot CD that is going to go places ¿ read that up! Dierks has said he wanted to stay in the moment, as well as have fun. He¿s done it with style and grace. Style with the Warren Brothers in the title cut, grace with the incomparable Patti Griffin in Beautiful World, Better Believer, co-written with Rivers Rutherford, and Pray, written with Rodney Crowell. For fun you can¿t beat Sideways and Here She Comes. My favorite today is I Wanna Close Your Eyes, but tomorrow it may change to that motorcycle revving Life on the Run with Mike McCready (Pearl Jam). You may remember McCready¿s previous contribution with Bentley on Distant Shore on his first CD. Feel that Fire? You bet. Get yours today.

    Feelin' that Fire

I love this album. Dierks keeps getting better and better. I can listen to any one of his albums over and over and not get tired of them. His voice is so soothing. This album is another one that you can throw on and not have to skip a song. My favorite songs are "Feel that Fire", "Here She Comes", and "I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes". Those songs remind me of how me and my boyfriend are. We met in a country bar, Direks Bentley and George Strait playing, we rode the bull and everything. We're a Dierks Bentley song for sure. Everyone needs to go get the album !!!!

This is a MUST HAVE cd for ANY music lover!!!

I am a member of the Dierks Fan Club, but I listened to this album without being biased. And let me tell you I was blown away!! I used to think that the "Dierks Bentley" album was the best released....but then this one came out. <BR/>The songs are wonderful! There is a great balance of up-beat fun songs and slower more heartfelt songs. This is definitely a cd that I can listen to from the beginning to the end and then again and again. No having to skip 3/4 of the cd because the songs aren't that great. Each song is truly amazing!! <BR/><BR/>You should definitely pick up this cd!
