Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Being able to understand the concept of time and mastering the role of a clock, and how to use it to tell time, represent a major milestone in young lives. Several books like this one come with a clock that has moveable hands. To help with the concept, many familiar book and television characters have been used in stories that relate a series of events and the appropriate time of day. In this selection, friendly Felix the stuffed rabbit imparts a brief history of clocks and then relates time intervals to a variety of activities. For example, a TV show lasts a half an hour, and it takes a whole hour to bake a cake. At the top of each page, a clock shows the correct positioning of the clock hands and kids can move the hands on the clock in the book to match the pictures. It is an entertaining and educational book with a European flavor to the illustrations and family life.
