THE SECRET OF CASTLE HILL
by L&K
Prolouge-
He was known as Mr. Wolf to most, though that was not his real name. His real name was Aber Swynneth, though that name was rarely used.
Right now, he stood outside an old factory that hadn't been used for years. When he was around ten years, most of the factories shut down and the praise of technology began to falter. It was in that year that the making of guns and the like was halted, and weapons like that were forbidden in all countries, and the consequences were harsh.
Mr. Wolf, or Mr. Swynneth, was armed only with a broad sword, and a small rondel dagger such as the ones that were used by the warriors of very ancient times. He slowly drew his sword, trying not to breathe too loudly. With his free hand, he pressed a button on the metal band that was hooked around his wrist.
"I'm in," he whispered. Aber stood here because he was on a mission, a mission ordered by his very brother, who was a leader in the fighting alliance known as the Eagles.
"Good," a voice crackled back. "Head for the far door—"
Aber didn't care to hear the rest of it. A large but shadowy figure had emerged from the old factory, clad in a black jacket with a sword at his belt.
He stared in suprise.
He KNEW the one clad in black.
The figure headed in his direction.
"Hello, Mr. Swynneth," he said in a cold voice.
Aber raised his sword.
But then something hit him from behind, and the last thing he ever saw was the evil grim of a tall man wearing a black robe standing beside the other.
The last thing he thought was, "I never did trust him anyways. I guess I have paid. I can only pray that the kids stay out of this mess, like I failed to until it was too late."
He saw and thought no more.
