Beautifully illustrated and including reflections from an illustrious list of fans, coaches, and players as well as a host of fascinating Fenway facts, FENWAY: A BIOGRAPHY IN WORDS AND PICTURES creates an experience almost as magical as walking through the gates on game day.

Editorial Reviews

Boston Magazine
I love this book.
Charles McGrath
[Fenway Park has] an unmatchable record of bad karma....Tear the place down, Ted Williams cheerfully advises in his introduction....Shaughnessy's text is (by local standards) straightforward and unsentimental. Grossfeld's images are sparkling and upbeat...
The New York Times Book Review
Cinncinati Enquirer
A well-done photographic tribute to one of the last classical ballparks...Dan Shaughnessy provides an elegant, knowledgeable main text.
Entertainment Weekly
A loving tribute to the oldest standing ballpark in the majors... that home to the star-crossed Boston Red Sox.
Sports Illustrated
In addition to Shaughnessy's recollections of the oldest (with Tiger Stadium) ballpark, there are contributions from Stephen King and Doris Kearns Goodwin, as well as former Fenway stars Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski.
The Washington Times
A must read for the members of what Mr. Shaughnessy calls Red Sox Nation...Frankly, I loved the book. Although I'm not a Sawx fan, I love the history and tradition Fenway represents.
