JW Noble wrote “Fergus the Ferry” while travelling to work on the ferry for his son. His son loved the story and telling Fergus stories became something they did while going for a ferry ride together at the weekends.

My kids love to read Fergus the Ferry stories. We have all 24 of them and they are their most requested bedtime stories. I love that each story allows you to read to your child or have the story read to them. I love the voices of all the characters in the story and their Australian accents. . The author did an amazing job of teaching kindness and compassion in a fun adventurous way. We love all of these stories. I wish there were more.

My Son has most if not all the Fergus books and enjoys them. The narration is great because of the accent. Cute graphics and stories that teach teamwork and other character traits makes this series a no brainer addition.

This is a good storybook for the 2 to 5 year old age group who are used to having someone read to them. The illustrations are bright enough to catch their attention and they will enjoy the many races that "Fergus" and his friends try out for; remember that storytelling to children in general requires not only the ability to read but to read with feeling; many of these books may appear to be boring from an adult standpoint but to a child making the storyline come "alive" is extremely important; when I read to my grandchildren, my mindset at that moment is to make sure they enjoy it-if even for a short time.
