In Wild Rain and the novella "The Awakening," Christine Feehan created an exotic, sensual race-the Leopard People. Fever brings the two stories together for the first time in one volume, a one-way ticket to a dizzying new world of desire.
In "The Awakening," a beautiful naturalist's dream comes true-to live among the feral jungle creatures. But an untamed, irresistible beast of another sort inspires her to explore her own wild side.
Wild Rain's Rachel Lospostros has escaped from a faceless assassin and found sanctuary thousands of miles from home, under the towering jungle canopy. In this world teeming with unusual creatures she encounters Rio, a native of the forest imbued with a fierce prowess, and possessed of secrets of his own. When Rio unleashes the secret animal instincts that course through his blood, Rachel must decide if he is something to be feared-or desired.
Christine Feehan has created a world full of fantastic heroes for a new generation. These shapeshifters are powerful, beautiful, honorable, and a little quirky. Feehan's writing style moves swiftly. The plots are interesting and her characters seem like real, misunderstood guys next door. Feehan keeps the reader glued to the page with her plot twists. Fever and all of her Leopard Series are excellent reads.

I have read both of these stories and I'm looking forward to having them both in just one book. The first one 'Awakening' brings to life a new world that Feehan has created for her readers. You have romance, mystery, and suspence all rolled into one. I couldn't put it down and was disappointed when I had to wait so long for the next one to come out. Then it was here!! It was like the first book and yet so much more. It gave so much more insite into the world of the leopard people and how they live. I would recommend it to any one. I definite stay-up-all-night-and-read-it book.
