This is a very educational book on Fibromyalgia, a very complex condition that affects mostly women. It was given to me to read by my coworker, who has suffered from this condition for many years. No one in the office really understood it, and many people in the office thought it was mostly psychological and in her head. She seemed to be tired and exhausted most of the day, and could not focus on many of her daily tasks. Even our supervisor was perplexed and not very understanding over time, as it became a "routine" matter for her to have to leave work early to go to doctor appointments. After someone recommending my coworker this book, she was able to show us at work that her condition was a disorder that had a lot of symptoms and that it was a "legitimate" disorder with many misconceptions. Everyone at work felt very bad and became a lot more supportive after reading this book as it educated everyone on what Fibromyalgia was. I feel that this book may help thousands of people who are dealing with this debilitating and chronic disorder, and may help many more such as their loved ones to help educate them on this oftentimes complex and difficult condition. The author Kramer did a very good job in educating me about Fibromyalgia.
If you are looking for information about how to finally suppress your fibromyalgia symptoms then this book is for you. The author has done tons of research that would normally take months to come across. I'll admit I have done my fair share of browsing the web to find solutions to the symptoms that fibromyalgia cause and now I am glad to have all the answers at my fingertips. If you want to lessen the chronic pain and finally put a damper on the depression this disease causes then this book will not disappoint you.
This book is a perfect introduction to fibromyalgia for those who have been diagnosed, think they may have fibromyalgia, or for the loved ones of either of the former. This book provides a perfect introduction to fibromyalgia because it explains what fibromyalgia is, both according to the medical world and according to patient symptoms, and what it is not. In these days of increased self-diagnosis, this book gives its reader the important fact that many other diseases can masquerade as fibromyalgia and vice versa. No pretending here, just honest, cold, hard facts.
Fibromyalgia may be a disease you’re familiar with hearing on T.V or even possibly on the internet once and a while but it is more serious than most people realize. As one of many individuals who’s suffered from fibromyalgia I have to say that it is not just a moderate discomfort that some associate this disease with, fibromyalgia can cause intense chronic pain and health concerns that stay with you for years to come. Fibromyalgia STOP! Is a wonderful guide that made this disease easier to understand and giving this to my husband made him much more considerate and sympathetic to the process of how I handle my pain.
I have a relative with Fibromyalgia and never comprehended why my relative had so many health issues. I decided to give this a read for a better understanding. I now know stress, overexertion, and even the weather (especially rapid changes) all affect fibromyalgia patients. The book was very informative including information on trigger points, traditional and and natural remedies, and how to relieve symptoms with proper diet, exercise, and meditation. If you or someone you know suffers from fibromyalgia, this book will provide a great deal of useful information and many ways to relieve symptoms.
I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and she has been struggling to understand exactly what to expect. Sadly, her doctor seems to have barely explained it to her. Wanting to help and not knowing much about the condition myself, I ordered this book. I read it and was pretty impressed by the breadth of information here. I came away with a good understanding of causes and potential tips for treatment, along with diet hints and advise on things to avoid as well. I got her a copy as well and she has learned a lot already, and I can already see some of the changes she has made as a result. This book is well written and easy to understand- highly recommended if your situation merits it!
A close friend of mine was diagnosed with fibromyalgia just months ago, and I wanted to locate some good information to help her with this condition. This book gave me just what I was looking for. Not only was there very easy to understand information about fibromyalgia itself, but the suggestions for relieving symptoms and pain associated with the condition were very practical and helpful too. Since reading this book, I have a better understanding of what my friend is going through and how I can help make her life easier. I have shared the book with her as well, and she is already seeing results from some of the suggestions! Overall, I think it has been a good source of information and would recommend it to those looking for practical fibromyalgia solutions.
I have often wondered about fibromyalgia, what the symptoms are, how it's diagnosed, what might cause it, and treatment options. This book answered all of my questions and more. The author gave a run-down of traditional and nontraditional treatment methods to help lessen symptoms, since there is no cure at this time for fibromyalgia. The recipes included are very helpful as well.
My mother was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and when she first told me I didn't have a clue what that meant. But since reading this book I have come to understand what she is going through as well as some know some different tips and advice for how to help her. Beyond just being informative on the how and why of the syndrome the book offers ideas for recipes that stay away from pain inducing foods and towards pain relieving or body improving foods. All in all this book goes past just the medical jargon and into how to help somebody suffering from Fibromyalgia in every aspect of their lives, to better deal with their symptoms.
This book was what I was looking for. It was very informative!!!
