Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Dianne Ochiltree
This delightful picture book stars Fidgety Fish and his underwater friends in a collection of bubbly poems based on Ruth Galloway's popular series of underwater adventures. Each rollicking, rhyming double-page spread is devoted to Smiley Shark, Clickety Crab, the Jiggly Jellyfish, Terrific Turtle, Proud Puffer Fish, Super Sea Horses, Shiny Snails, Shy Octopus, and Amazing Angelfish. The poems are filled with action words and funny wordplays. The full-color illustrations are just as bright and bouncy—the vivid colors, bold renderings and expressive sea creatures dance across the page. This is a good choice for the younger picture book crowd of toddlers and preschoolers, because the language is simple yet rich, and the illustrations will give them plenty of funny actions to look at. Young readers will enjoy having this book read to them by parents at home or teachers/librarians at story time. Reviewer: Dianne Ochiltree
