About the Author

Susan Myers is an experienced bird tour leader, specialising in leading tours in southern Asia and Japan.

Susan grew up in Australia and has been travelling and birding in Asia for more than 30 years. A particular fascination with the tropical forests of the Sundaic Region led to her writing the Field Guide to the Birds of Borneo, followed by a photographic guide to the region (both published by Helm).

Many years of exploration dealing with heat, humidity and biting invertebrates have not dimmed her enthusiasm for the amazing biodiversity and wonderful birds of this special region.
