Editorial Reviews

Doody's Review Service
Reviewer: peter m daher, md(Creighton University Medical Center)
Description: This book provides a simplified approach to commonly performed office procedures.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide the practitioner an approach to commonly performed procedures. These are worthy goals, which the book meets.
Audience: Physicians in office settings are the intended audience.
Features: A practical approach to many of the commonly encountered office procedures is presented in a step-by-step format, which makes the book useful for teaching the procedures. There are practical tips at the end of each chapter. The head-to-toe coverage of the appendix makes the book easy to use. However, the book is too simplified at times.
Assessment: The pocket size makes the book a quick reference, but the lack of references makes it questionable. As a procedurally-oriented physician, I can attest to the validity of these procedures. Many other references on the subject already exist with more involved coverage.
