This is a most excellent recording by two fine Canadian bands. The pipes and drums of the 48th Highlanders are one of the finest regimental pipe bands in North America, while the Royal Regiment of Canada is a superb regimental band. These two bands are a real winning combination. There is something for everyone here. Some fine band marches and selections, several wonderful pipe band medleys, an exciting drummers' salute, and some beautiful selections for combined bands along with solo voice. The Canadian army bands deserve greater noteriety in North America, as the quality of music presented here is as good as anything you will find in the British army today. if you like great band, pipes and drums combinations then you can't go wrong here.
