[Menage Amour: Erotic Sci-Fi Menage a Trois Romance, BDSM, M/M/F, M/M] Being orphaned twice, tragedy defined starship captain Aine Lorcan's early life. Stay with her men, or fulfill the legacy her two fathers died to help her achieve? Author did a good job getting me invested in the characters and created some intensely interesting sex scenes...even if they were extremely fictitious, they were innovative. Made a girl jealous of what might be available with other planetary life. The heroine in this book was excessively frustrating but I guess we all know people like that. Very different erotica...thanks for the entertainment!

DNF (Did Not Finish) - Where was the chemistry in this menage? I usually enjoy unique names, provided I can figure out how to pronounce them, so having the heroine's name clarified in the first paragraph (Aine is pronounced Anya) definitely started things off right. The start of the story is a quick recount of pivotal moments in Aines' life, and is emotionally a bit of a rough ride, but necessary to understand her personality and abilities. After that is a little segment that is pure sci-fi, with space battles and military protocols and such. After the trio got together, I expected sparks, chemistry, a struggle to belong or work out the menage dynamics... something. Instead, they all blissfully accept one another and hop into bed. I like menage, don't get me wrong, but it needs to have substance and heart. This one did not, initially anyway. I didn't want to continue reading because it just wasn't compelling. I did not finish this book. Typically, I'm a big fan of Tymber Dalton, and go in binge reads of her bdsm and menage books. For the most part, I adore her writing and just about anything by her is a safe bet. I've noticed though, there are a subset that consistently do not appeal to me. Generally, if it has aliens who aren't typical human size and form, its not for me. In Acquainted With the Night, humans are kept as pets and used as egg incubators. Sure they're happy, but the idea of taking a giant member up the rear to deposit an egg that you must then "carry" and deliver after 2 months... not appealing. Also, backdoor sex with something that size, unless you are WELL prepared and practiced is going to hurt like a mother, not to mention cause damage. In Fierce Radiance, the alien's semen that you spent all night sucking up like a pacifier has magical properties that make it okay? Ugh, no. I just can't identify. =( Sorry, Ms. Dalton. I really wanted to like this one!
