As a birthday treat to myself (I turn 50 Thursday), I went ahead and picked up the Victoria Clark CD entitled FIFTEEN SECONDS OF GRACE. OOOOOOOOHhhhhhh am I glad I did! This is one terrific album, and I hope radio stations that cater to this type of music, like WHLI on Long Island, are giving it all the attention it deserves. Victoria mesmorized me three times during the run of "Light In The Piazza" at Lincoln Center. I was hoping she would do an album, and here it is. Great selection of songs. I've always loved the "Tootsie" theme, "It Might Be You", but Vicki's version is so wonderful, I have a new definitive version to enjoy. Each song seems like she's holding your hand and singing just to you on those ocean rocks where the photo shoot was done. Lots of great moments with "Thomas", "Departure", the classic "Something's Gotta Give" (so fast you think she'll fall over from lack of air). This is an album for just sitting and listening with a glass of wine, a nice coffee, fire place or feet up. You melt right in. Highly recommended.
