From the cover, I expected more classic dresses. However, this is a book that give about a 1/2 page to each dress and designer, most of whom I've never heard of nor seen their dresses. To live up to its title, this book should have been much, much longer and gone into more depth to substantiate exactly why they thought each dress "changed the world". There were few dresses from the film industry which I found an odd thing to leave out of the collection. I'm not fashion unconcious so I expected to recognize more of these dresses. There are so many iconic fashions they should have - and could have included but didn't. I recommend passing on this one.

Never got the book. Sent an email to ask hat happened to the charge and never got a response from B&N. Notification was very close to Christmas for this Christmas present. Over all a very UNSATISFACTORY experience.
