“Fifty Shades of Blue Dun” is the third book released by this author. Like “Flies, Trout, and a Squirrel Up My Pant Leg” and “Fly Fisherman’s Day Off”, it is a biographical collection of charismatic stories in which the author shares his heartfelt observations as well as the joy and wisdom he has accumulated while honing his skills as a fly fisherman. An accomplished sportsman who meticulously records the parameters of each success or failure, the author has learned that his fishing sojourns are not at all about catching fish. More importantly, they’re about developing the proper outlook on life. These trips to the river combine real world experiences with captivating events that will maintain your interest throughout the journey.

“Fifty Shades of Blue Dun” is a compilation that will intrigue previous fans as well as attract new readers. The author takes you to some great fly fishing destinations in western Pennsylvania where he talks passionately about dreams, leadership, and the challenges of catching fish on a fly while including a rant or two about the occasional absurdity of life with his own style, wit, and zeal.

Meet the Author

Kevin M. Sieja was born in Pennsylvania in 1960 and is an avid fly fisher and fly tier and he has been sharing his love of fly fishing for decades and has decided to expand his audience by publishing his reflections. He came from very humble beginnings, made a living with a strong back, a yeoman like work ethic and a tendency to over simplify things. This ability to see things clearly for what they are has helped him make some very good life choices such as pursuing trout with a fly rod and in selecting a wife (chronological order).

During his fifty plus years on this earth, he has excelled as a baseball player and coach, been on a once in a lifetime journey to Alaska, earned a living making parts for nuclear reactors, submarines and aircraft carriers, collaborated with S&W to modify their revolvers for handgun silhouette competitions, and then shot the first ever perfect score with their new revolver. He has even had a gray squirrel up his pant leg at a funeral!
