    A must have for your personal Library!

    I found this book to be extremly valuable as a supplement to my own martial arts training. And, it's an insightful read that I enjoyed very much. It's jam packed with more than enough tips and training aids to get you motivated and priceless little ancedotes and life experiences that bring the book full circle. I believe that it will be extremly useful to anyone who trains in the martial arts.

    Truly great martial arts book !

    Great book by a martial arts teacher who has been in real street fights, and who has 'cross trained' in various arts, as well as learned to box, and learned concepts from sparring. Great book. This is one of the best martial arts books ever written. It is, however, more geared toward intermediate to advanced martial artists. It has a lot of aspects on diet, training, sparring techniques, and psychology. The author obviously has a great deal of experience. The pictures are clear, and the text is very well written and edited. All around great book. If you are into martial arts, get this book !

    Author's comments on Fighter's Fact Book

    I accomplished two goals writing Fighter's Fact Book: I crammed as much information as possible within 304 pages, and I got to learn lots of new concepts, drills and techniques from veteran teachers I have the pleasure to know. I included material that I have used since I began training in 1965, and I sought information from experts who have a similar training and fighting philosophy as I do. I slanted the book, as I do all of my martial arts books, toward realistic fighting, although there is material for the competitor as well. I think of the book as sort of an encyclopedia of the fighting arts, a quick reference where student and teacher alike can get quick info on a large variety of areas. Here is the table of contents.     Probably the best martial arts book ever written!

    Fighter¿s Fact Book has quickly become one of the best martial arts book ever written. It has set a new standard, one in which all other books are being measured to. Loren W. Christensen has studied, practiced, trained, and taught martial arts for over 35 years; now how he has put all he knows into this incredible book. I have wasted a lot of money and time on many other training books, but none even compared to Fighter¿s Fact Book. Regardless of your style, or if you are a white belt or a tenth degree black belt ninja, Christensen has something to teach you. His book has helped me focus my training, and instead of going with the motions in class, now I am excelling. Huge, huge thanks to Loren W. Christensen and Turtle Press. It is about time somebody got it right!
