    Damm

Previous poster: you are a complete moron. Dont comment on somethimg you know nothing about. That same pit bull battling in the pit is also tje same dog who plays with his masters children when he isnt fighting. They are not vicious, they are game and tenacious with a love of battle as they were bred for, wether against another dog or a wild bull.

That out of the way, this is an amazing book taken in an historical context. Many different views by many different former and possibly current dogmen makes it a great book for any who love and admire the breed, both in his historic fighting and his more commom current role as a beloved family pet.

I am sure many must think anyone who reads a book like this must be a sick and cruel individual but i am nothimg of the sort. I dont even really agree with dog fighting, but i do love the breed immensely, and advocate for them every chance i get. I simply believe that to truly understand this amazing breed, one must understand both the pit fighting part of its history and the current roles of weight puller, catch dog, therapy dog, pet dog, show dog, etc and this book definately covers the former aspect.

Although my copy seems to be a little imcomplete
When reading the chapters on keeps and comditioning, some of them were cut off apruptly into the new chapter, but other than that, this was a very educational and informative book to read and add to anyones library on the breed
