Hooper delivers the ending readers are hoping for Title: Fighting for Infinity Author: Karen Amanda Hooper Series: The Kindrily #3 My Rating: 4 Stars Good Reads Rating: 4.44 Stars Content Rating: 16+ Genre: YA Fantasy Pages: 350 Publisher: Starry Sky Publishing Check it Out: Good Reads | Amazon | Barnes and Noble Good Reads Summary: Every moment, every lifetime, every decision—including her choice to erase—has led Maryah to this. Two outcomes are possible: an infinite happy-ever-after with her kindrily or the final severing of her relationship with Nathan. Closer to the enemy than ever before, Maryah unravels the diabolical plan that Dedrick has been manipulating into place for centuries. Revelations, secrets, and lies surface faster than Maryah can process. She doesn’t know who to trust, what to believe, or how to save her loved ones from the desolate future Dedrick is so close to executing. Guided by an enigmatic raven-haired prisoner, Maryah fights body and soul to save Nathan, her kindrily, and countless others. But is her love strong enough to alter a prophecy written in the stars? I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. With every book in this series, Karen Amanda Hooper’s writing gets more detailed, more intense, more exciting, and more dangerous. I have been a big fan of this series since I read the first book, Grasping at Eternity, last year, and it has just gotten better and better with each installment. The fun thing about Fighting for Infinity is that the conflict is at really high stakes throughout the entire book. You get up close and personal with Dedrick in a situation where Nathan can’t easily traverse out of (GASP) and no one really knows what is going on. Except for a mysterious little girl who is also Dedrick’s prisoner and claims to have knowledge about Maryah that she will only reveal when necessary. Most of the action follows Maryah and this little girl (also known as Rina) as they plot to escape from Dedrick’s lair. While most of Taking Back Forever is focused on Maryah and Nathan’s relationship and developing her powers, Fighting for Infinity spends very little energy in sexy-times land, instead focusing on the driving conflict. Hooper gives us a lot here, a lot of back-story and many answers to questions from the first two. I thought Hooper tied things up nicely, giving us reasonable explanations for everything. This series certainly has a unique premise, one that I haven’t really encountered before in YA Fantasy. Hooper writes just as well, if not better, than many big names out there, and this series is most definitely worth picking up if you like the genre. Also, at the end of the book Hooper asks if we want more. More of the Kindrily. More of Nathan and Maryah. HECK YES.

This intensely suspenseful series hits its crescendo with this instalment.  Hooper definitely took me on some twists that I could have never imagined with this one.  This story is intellectually and creatively unique.  It is also emotionally taxing at times, travelling along with the characters as they relive their pasts.  The storyline is easy to follow, yet intricate.  Hooper writes in a manner that will captivate anyone YA and older.   The way that Hooper switches perspective from character to character really allows you to get to know each of them.  It also gives the reader a sense of the big picture.  You aren’t focussed on one or two characters, but rather on the entire Kindrily.  The fact that each individual is distinctly developed and continues to grow throughout the series allows readers to connect with one and all.  Hooper also creates the evilest of evil characters, yet keeps them realistic.  They still act and seem human, even if their sense of right and wrong is skewed, which allows the reader to flow through the story without wondering about them. Overall this was a brilliant ending to this series.  It’s one I won’t soon forget (and I’m praying for a spin off series to continue this brilliant world).  This is definitely a series that needs to be started at the beginning, but I’d recommend it to one and all.   Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Actual rating: 4.5 stars! This was a long journey, but a very satisfying one. This was the final installment in The Kindrily series by Karen Amanda Hooper, and it was fantastic. I love these characters, and that ending was so sweet.  There is always a healthy dose of fear involving the final book in a beloved series. Will you be disappointed? Will the author totally screw up the characters and how much they mean to you? There is always a little wariness when I start a final book. I've been burned before, and I hate it when that happens. It's why I put off finishing series. Fighting for Infinity did not give me reason to doubt final books! I loved the journey that these characters go through, and I loved where the author took the story.  There were two MCs in this story, and they were Nathan and Maryah. I was kind of hoping for a third, but it wasn't needed. I've loved Nathan's and Maryah's journey from the beginning. They've been through a lot, and they both are still trying to find their footing around each other. I loved how their relationship developed, how they dealt with the heartbreak and anguish together, how much stronger they are because of it all. These two are soulmates, and it's definitely apparent. They're both very passionate souls who just want to love and protect their own. And with the revelations in this story, they needed each other more than ever. I loved how it never tore apart their relationship, and I loved how much stronger their love is because of it.  But I was a little disappointed with the secondary characterizations. There are 16 Kindrily members, aside from Nathan and Maryah. They are important to the story-line and to the relationship between the MCs. And the only reason this is getting 4.5 stars from me is because I felt that they were underdeveloped. They were too overshadowed in this book. Aside from their abilities, them helping Nathan and Maryah, and trying to defeat Dedrick, they aren't very focused on. And that's okay, because this series was more about Nathan and Maryah. But I was missing those interactions between all of the characters, and I just wanted more of them.  The plot was very slow-paced, but I was never bored. I enjoyed where the author took the story-line, and I was constantly aware of what was happening because I was always trying to guess the mysteries. In the first two books, there are many secrets and parts of their pasts that we know nothing about. Luckily, the author answered all of my questions and brought her characters to where they needed to go. There were also secrets that hinted at other story-lines that I'm hoping the author will explore in other books. And I wouldn't say no to more of the Kindrily members. :) Fighting for Infinity was a fantastic final installment in the beloved Kindrily series. I remember that I really didn't like Maryah in the first couple books, but by the end of this, she was one of my favorite characters. Still sometimes naive, but her character development was beautiful. I loved her and Nathan's passionate love story, and I loved the other members of the Kindrily. I'm going to miss these characters.

Amazing, just Amazing! This series has been so in depth and gripping that I wasn't sure how in the world the author was going to tie everything together, but she did it with amazing results! It's hard to say too much because it is one of those series that has tons of parts and spoilers but I can say that it is the best paranormal series I have read, ever. There is no lag time, it picks right up where the last book left off and propels you forward into Maryah and Nathan's story. Maryah has no idea to trust, a huge decision that she can't remember why she made, and  a fight against an enemy that she can't remember. This book left me breathless and with a deep sense of what family truly means. I highly recommend it and really hope Hollywood picks up on how fantastic this is.

A roller coaster ride of emotions. Beautifully written. I would love to see this series as a movie. That's how detailed and amazing it was written.  It all came together in such a way that I didn't want to put it down. I cried the last few chapters. I'm sorry to see Maryah and Nathan story come to an end but I can't wait for the next one. Nothing in Maryah and Nathan's life is easy and it hasn't been easy since Maryah erased. But we finally find out why she did it and its a very powerful answer.  We meet a new, key, crucial character that pulls it all together. I loved it all and I can't wait to see what's next. I hope we get Dakota's story.  I highly recommend this series to anyone. I hope people give it a chance and start with Grasping Eternity, you won't be sorry you picked these books up. Makes you believe in soulmates and that everything is worth going through.
