Overview

For the first time in the long series of Final Fantasy games, the scoring for Final Fantasy X involved composers other than the long-lasting Nobuo Uematsu. Uematsu still provided the bulk of compositions for the game, but additional material was created by Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano. The album reached the Oricon Top Five upon release, powered in part by the success of the piano piece "To Zanarkand" and the game's theme song, "Suteki da Ne," with ethereal vocals provided by Ritsuki Nakano.
