Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
What do Mormonism, Unitarianism, Hare Krishna,Theosophy, Zen, Christian Science, Kabalah, and Wicca all have in common? According to Bible teacher Rhodes (Angels Among Us), they are all cults. This book identifies 40 such cults, offering a brief history and description of the major doctrines for each. Each entry is followed by a list corresponding to the second half of the book, which contains 118 "Apologetic Power Points." This allows a mix-and-match approach to how these groups fall outside of what Rhodes, a leading apologetic, or defender of the faith, defines as fundamental Christian doctrine. This work is for the party faithful who want simplistic sound bites and does little to encourage dialog, understanding, or tolerance. Not recommended, but expect some requests, as the author is a prominent figure on Christian radio.-Nancy Almand, Fresno Cty. P.L., Orange Cove, CA Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
