Overview

Jenny Wall has lost everything … her parents, her childhood home, her abusive husband, her unborn baby, and her beloved mare, Diamond Girl. Now that she is finally out of the hospital and recovered from the injuries she sustained in the accident that took the life of her abusive husband, she intends to find her mare, the only family she has left so she purchases a bus ticket to Cody Wyoming, the closest town to where her mare is living on the Rocking J Ranch.

Jason Murray left his lucrative job on Wall Street to return to Wyoming to save the family ranch, the Rocking J, from financial ruin by implementing a horse breeding program. His fiancé refused to leave New York so he is disillusioned and angry. When the pretty new waitress from the diner in town shows up at his ranch looking for Diamond Girl, he is surprised by the protective feelings she arouses in him.

Jenny is drawn to the handsome cowboy that now owns Diamond Girl but she is skeptical he is any different than her deceased husband. However, she can’t resist his offer to ride Diamond Girl any time she wants. Will Jenny be able to get past the abuse she suffered in her marriage and open her heart to Jason?

When Jenny is kidnapped by two sleazy cowboys, Jason hopes to keep her safe by offering to let Jenny work for him at the ranch as his housekeeper. As he and Jenny spend more time together and grow closer, Jason finds her charms harder to resist but he understands the obstacles he has to overcome before he can enjoy a relationship with Jenny. Will he be willing to try love again? Will a visit from his former fiancé end Jason and Jenny’s budding relationship? Will Jason’s unreasonable jealousy of the famous movie star Barry Farrady push her away?

    Needs work

Agree with other poster...badly needs editor. Who is being described at the beginning of a paragraph isn't always the same that ends it. Story can be hard to follow because of that.

Badly in need of an editor.

The story has great potential. However, the writing feels sophomoric and I had trouble reading it. The characters are not very stable in their development and are mildly annoying. A thesaurus would have helped this author quite a lot in this storyline.
