Overview

Should I take this job offer? Will I ever find Mr. or Mrs. Right? What should I major in? Should we buy this house? Where should I send my kids to school? What is the best way to spend our retirement? Where should we go to church?

If you are praying for God's direction in a significant area of your life, you may wonder how you'll know when He is guiding you. You may even wonder if He is guiding you ... and that's okay! Take a deep breath and know that you are in very good company. God's followers have wrestled with what it means to seek His will since time began.

Take Moses, for example, When he met God for the first time, in a burning bush on the backside of a mountain, Moses had no idea what the Lord had in store for his life. How did he figure out that he was called to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt? How did he know what to do when God's intentions were questioned by both the Egyptians and the children of Israel? Where did he find the confidence to stand firm on the shore of the Red Sea instead of turning tail or surrendering to Pharaoh's army?

All Moses knew in the face of that blazing shrub was that he should remove his sandals-he was on holy ground. The first step toward finding God's will? Drawing close to the Almighty One. Moses discovered, as you can in Finding God's Will, that the will of God is not a single event to be experienced but a process to live. Are you ready?

Gregg Matte is a dedicated servant of our God and a very talented writer. I highly recommend 'Finding God's Will' to help guide you in discovering His will for you. At the conclusion of each chapter Pastor Matte asks several questions 'For Further Reflection and Discussion' to challenge you to meditate on what he said in the chapter and on the scripture quoted in the chapter.
