Once Upon A Romance Calls Hutchins an "up and coming powerhouse writer."

The reviews are in, and they're good. Very, very good.

"The author created appealing characters who displayed just enough sass to remove them from the realm of perfect romance characters." –Vine Reviewer

"A clever idea is supported by a clear, witty and distinct voice, a clear sense of a narrative arc. I couldn't help laughing out loud when I got to "“There’s a dead pig on the table, a dead guy in the driveway, and a legion of dead people dem ready to swim up through our cisterns into the house." Seriously, in what way is this not going to be a fun read, in plot, character and narrative voice??? The sense of setting also works. I was convinced I knew which Caribbean island this was set on, and where the house is, and where the Pig Man is. I still am. Really." –Vine Reviewer

    Get the series

I zipped through all 3 books in a week. Unlike Katie, I can resist the Clorox wipes and embrace the " lived in " look of my surroundings to be swept away to tropcal island craziness.
Every character brought something that just touches you. Great stories and I am sad it's over: (

Ok, this is the best book in this series.  I LOVED Finding Harmo

Ok, this is the best book in this series.  I LOVED Finding Harmony.  The subject matter turned more serious and the stakes were higher.  Katie is a little less high strung. The laughs are still there though and I am so excited about Annalise.  I know Hutchins has said this is the last Katie book, but I hope she changes her mind.

Finding Harmony is as smart and feisty as its red-headed protago

Finding Harmony is as smart and feisty as its red-headed protagonist. Katie Kovacs faces motherhood, relationship challenges, twinges of self-doubt, blackmail, murder, a drug cartel and a missing husband with her usual courage, strength, and wit. For mystery and suspense, Finding Harmony does not disappoint. I hope there will be more books in the Katie & Annalise series.

I enjoyed Finding Harmony. It is a quick, easy read with plenty of Island charm. Some romance, some comedy and lots on suspense made it hard to put down.

I suggest setting sail to the islands with a set of her books. Very enjoyable.

    A compelling series

I have read the first 3 books in this series. Wasn't sure about #1. The main character, Katie, was so edgy that I didn't know if I could like her. However proceded to #2 and #3 and loved them both. These books are full of adventure, romance, strong characters and voodoo. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

    enjoyed it

The third book shows us the real version of happily after ever. With some hurt feelings, and a little jumbie assist, our heroes pull through. A happy read.

    240 pages

This is book 3 of the series. It has 240 pages. The editing is very well done. I paid $3.99 for this book. The first one was free, the second cost $1.99. The second book is the longest. It has about 650 pages, while books one and three contain around 250 pages. All are free standing. Book three is more explicit with adult themes and while many events are not very probable, I still enjoyed this book very much. "FINDING HARMONY" reminded me of "ROMANCING THE STONE" in a lot of ways. Ava and Kate are working on their friendship, one of the dogs has died and the in laws are living in the basement. Annilise is more prominent and there is a new officer in town, stirring up trouble. Nick finds out lies do not pay and his dad gets Nick in and out of hot water. I really liked the new addition of Bob and Raishid's two friends. Dan Dan is a character and a half. Book four is coming out in the fall. I can hardly wait. There is a dab of religion. This one is every bit as good as the others. For ages 16 and up. It is in a grey area of genre, as far as chick lit goes. It is not excatly chick lit, but not mascaline either. It is a great adventure and I love the people and details. For ages 16 and up.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.  Thanks Pamela!!

This is the third in the series of Katie and Annalise and just like the other two before it, this one did not fail to meet up with expectations.

The story of Katie and her "jumbie" house (a voodoo ghost kind of thing - yeah I know it sounds weird, but it works) moves right along
with her new life with Nick, her new husband and his nephew, three year old Taylor, who is now his son, and their 3 month old twin
    daughters.

Katie has come a long way since her stressful days of being a lawyer in Dallas to now living in a Caribbean setting that sounds
absolutely beautiful.  But, there is danger on this island as a lot of drug traffickers and bad people visit there.

This story has the couple involved with a suicide right outside the gates of their house which leads to Nick's disappearance, a murder
investigation, rogue policeman who are dirtier than the criminals, a Mexican drug cartel and terroristic plots.

The story is well written and you really get to know the characters.  The author really gives you great insight into them and you begin
to feel like they are really almost alive.  The story has several plot twists and several stories going on which makes it that much more
    exciting.

Its a great read wherein I was definitely entertained.  Because of the locale of the story, I think this series would be an excellent beach
read. You really feel like you are in the Caribbean while reading this.  I definitely recommend this series!!!

Finding Harmony- A Feel Good Read

This was a very good series! It is shorter by its earlier books by about 300 pages but it makes up for that with an edge of your seat story. If you like mysteries & adventure with a little romance and supernatural, then this is a light feel good series for you!
