I enjoyed Finding Harmony. It is a quick, easy read with plenty of Island charm. Some romance, some comedy and lots on suspense made it hard to put down. I suggest setting sail to the islands with a set of her books. Very enjoyable.
Ok, this is the best book in this series. I LOVED Finding Harmony. The subject matter turned more serious and the stakes were higher. Katie is a little less high strung. The laughs are still there though and I am so excited about Annalise. I know Hutchins has said this is the last Katie book, but I hope she changes her mind.
I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thanks Pamela!! This is the third in the series of Katie and Annalise and just like the other two before it, this one did not fail to meet up with expectations. The story of Katie and her "jumbie" house (a voodoo ghost kind of thing - yeah I know it sounds weird, but it works) moves right along with her new life with Nick, her new husband and his nephew, three year old Taylor, who is now his son, and their 3 month old twin daughters. Katie has come a long way since her stressful days of being a lawyer in Dallas to now living in a Caribbean setting that sounds absolutely beautiful. But, there is danger on this island as a lot of drug traffickers and bad people visit there. This story has the couple involved with a suicide right outside the gates of their house which leads to Nick's disappearance, a murder investigation, rogue policeman who are dirtier than the criminals, a Mexican drug cartel and terroristic plots. The story is well written and you really get to know the characters. The author really gives you great insight into them and you begin to feel like they are really almost alive. The story has several plot twists and several stories going on which makes it that much more exciting. Its a great read wherein I was definitely entertained. Because of the locale of the story, I think this series would be an excellent beach read. You really feel like you are in the Caribbean while reading this. I definitely recommend this series!!!
