Overview

1 broken down mare
2 baby lambs
3 lost teens And a busted up bronc rider with more balls than brains...

They all add up to trouble in Casie Carmichael's book. She's come back to Hope Springs, South Dakota, with only one thing in mind--selling the family's tumble-down ranch and returning to Sioux Falls and her very practical fiancé. But leaving isn't as easy as she imagined, not when every bedraggled stray in the territory has a homing beam straight to her barn.

Suddenly, angry parents, hairless goats and a former flame's new heat aren't Casie's most pressing problems. Her own mixed-up heart is at the top of the list, and as she throws herself into making a safe haven for her motley crew, she realizes home is a lot closer than she thought.

In regards to "Loves to Read". You shouldn't rate the book poorly just because you don't know how to avoid the "glitch" in reading. When you get stuck in a loop turning the page, try changing the font size. I see this glitch all the time, and changing the font size usually allows you to get past the page turning loop.

I couldn¿t put this book down. Casie Carmichael attends a ranch

I couldn’t put this book down. Casie Carmichael attends a ranch auction, intending to sell stable gear from her late father. Instead, she ends up saving a broken-down horse and reigniting sparks with an injured bronc rider from her past. The whirlwind of daily ranch life leads to more rescued horses and a mismatched trio of teens looking for shelter, compassion and belonging—each with a story overshadowed by secrets. While Casie’s cowboy stakes a claim on her heart, misgivings about her physician fiancé grow. Turns out the Lazy Windmill Ranch is a sanctuary for people as well as horses, and Finding Home is a keeper!

    FINDING HOME by Lois Greiman
Cass Carmichael has returned back home to the ranch in South Dakota. Her father has passed away and she hopes to spruce up the ranch and sell it to get back to her fiance and the city where they share an apartment that she pay for with her job as assistant secretary.
She's funding his college education and after he becomes a doctor they will put their money into her further education. Problem is she's putting all her time and money, what's left into the ranch. The lambs are birthing, the cows are birthing and the horses. There are ducks and other animals on the ranch that she just can't turn her back on.
She accumulates more strays, others will donate their time for a place to sleep and help out to learn and to push themselves into helping others.
When Bradley shows up for a night he talks her into the hotel stay and asks for not only the months rent but the next month as well.
I wanted to read this book because it's about not only horses which I want to learn all I can about but South Dakota. Never visited but like what I've read about it.
Also loved the setting of a table under a tree with light bulbs on, looks so inviting and cozy.
A stray, Emily helps in the kitchen and with the animals. They adopt the real estate agents daughter, well she pays to be there and that helps the animals with better food. She knows horses and helps them learn.
Hospital emergency and it draws them all together and we find out other mysteries that shed light on what happened.
Love how she takes what she has and turns it into something real good. It's everyday living on the ranch where things don't always go right.

260 pages cost $1.99 plus tax

This book was 260 page book cost $1.99 plus tax. It was pretty good. Not quite what the over view stated, but close. I just do not like to be musinformed. This book was a rather slow read. It does not have a specific genre, unless it is just fiction. There is child abuse, animal abuse and some violence, no murders. About the time the pace picks up and becomes really interesting, the book is over. The ending was abrupt and unsatisfying. The editing was good. A 28 year woman takes in all kinds of needful animals and people. She is used by her fiance as a meal ticket and he is a hateful man. The sub plot with the realtor is unresolved as is the bronco buster. One day, she has had enough and loses her cool. Animals die in this book. This really bothers me. For ages 16 and up.

    It was pretty good

I enjoyed this book. It seemed a little childish to me but i would not recommend it for a child or teen. It is okay for a young adult but once again something seems off about i can never quite tell what it is. She seems to be quite affectionate to animals and she gets inadvertantly pushed around by a young girl. I find her behavior odd but slightly refreshing with a side freak me out. I was surprised and concerned by how long she kept around her fiance. She should have dumped him long ago. That sniveling manipulator.

    Good read

Country girl caught up with college doctor fiance returned to home ranch with juvinile intrige and high school teaster that keeps you intrigued. A little challenging inthe first chapters with the over use of tjesaures words for comfortable ones. Still would appreciate less curssing.
