The book is the true story of a college student who was given the opportunity to intern for Howard Stern in the summer of 2009 and his personal journey working for the most listened to radio talk show host in the history of broadcasting. The book takes Adam "The Tapes" intern through an adventure in which he meets and befriends many of the shows cast members and he contributes to the content and success of the Stern Show. Adam "The Tapes" intern takes the readers on a behind the scenes look at an intern's life, from creating content for the show to sitting in production meetings where ideas for the show are chosen by Howard. In August 2010, I noticed a tweet from Stern Show friend Jeff Jarvis about a previously unpublished manuscript from one of the shows interns. I was intrigued to say the least. The book is excellent. Its fun, exciting, and most importantly, takes the reader through a remarkable behind the scenes adventure into Howard's show. Some of the pranks and surprises are so hysterical they had me literally rolling on the floor. The kid even pranks the most senior Stern executives.
