Overview

From the Author:Finding True Magic: Transpersonal Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy/NLP is a revised updated version of the highly regarded Finding True Magic: Transpersonal Hypnotherapy/NLP which is listed separately at BarnesandNoble with 16 reader reviews. I am the author, and I am proud of the team at Cecibooks for this beautiful new presentation of my work. Thoroughly copy-edited, newly formatted, and adding an index and bibliography, refined and expanded scripts, and new diagrams, this Finding True Magic corrects the few short-comings in production values of the original. The late, great Ormand McGill, Dean of American Hypnotists, endorsed this new edition: ' FINDING TRUE MAGIC is a remarkable textbook on Transpersonal Hypnotherapy. Recommended for deep study.

Aside from being an excellent therapist and teacher, Jack Elias is one of this world's true magicians, and you should be honored and humbled to have an opportunity to learn from him. The book is compelling, dynamic, fun to read and easy to work with. It's also chock-full of wisdom, like Saint Sophia Saint Sophia Saves the World (The Saint Sophia Chronicles). Whether you are a counselor, a hypnotherapist, or some other helping type of human, you'll find worthy guidance here. I highly recommend th

'Finding True Magic' has impressed me as the result of the experience and insight of a master of technique who besides very deep insight has great sensitivity and compassion and is an excellent teacher. It also has been, in my experience, astonishingly powerful practically (I mean in terms of applying to specific situations with surprising effect).

One of the situations had to do with pain that was so severe it had become seriously disruptive to my ability to apply ideas or techniques t

Finding True Magic is about Finding your True Self

I have just completed this book and the entire certification course in Finding True Magic. I have found it one of the most inspirational and enlightened learning processes, if not the most, in my life to date. As a hypnotherapist with a strong interest in the spiritual aspect of life and the combination of both, it was important that I find a course that could offer me in-depth learnings in spiritual philosophy coupled with sound common sense and practical application of psychotherapeutic practices. This I found with Jack Elias's profound intelligence in the subjects of both eastern and western philosophy and hypnosis. The book is fascinating, inspiring, inspirational and informative from the Preface onwards up until the very end. Quite simply, it makes you stop and really think about how you live your life, how you process your thoughts, how you do whatever you do in everyday life. Not only do you learn as a hypnotherapist new approaches, new perspectives, you fully take part in the process of spiritual enlightenment and development as you progress with the book and the course. It is impossible not to. It explores the ego in great depth and Jack's style from the excellent certification course which accompanies this book is entertaining, gripping, jaw-dropping and highly knowledgeable. For the new hypnotherapist, there are some excellent scripts as guidelines which incorporate the transpersonal side of hypnosis and for the experienced hypnotherapist, it is a chance to really enhance the transpersonal knowledge and improve your current practices by understanding more thoroughly the power of the egoic mind. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous and a real life changer!! 10 out of 5!! For anyone reading this - go do the course. The book is brilliant but it is a fraction of what the rest of the course can really guide you to discover.

Excellent compliment to a professional training or pracitice

I am a trainer of NLP and Hypnosis and I have to tell you, I am thrilled with this book! The format of the whole book is superior to most manuals I have seen because the NLP and Hypnosis techniques are clearly outlined and listed, then a script follows to allow the students to have an idea of how it flows in a session. The other part that I really enjoyed was the inclusion of spirit detachment and astrology. I work with these techniques as well, but was never quite sure how to incorporate into a professional class. I really believe that this manual defines the future of how this information should be taught, and am excited to offer it in my classes and workshops.
