Life makeover coach Cheryl Richardson, a frequent guest on Oprah, brings her strategies fir finding passion to this inspirational audio program.Using an upbeat yet down-to-earth approach, Cheryl stresses that passion is not an external event, but an internal experience. How do you find your passion when you don't have the first clue where to start? On these tapes, Cheryl presents hands-on exercises to help you reconnect with yourselfto help you discover what excites you. Which books, movies, or people do you find yourself drawn to? What personal challenges have you overcome? What stimulates you? What drives you nuts? These questions will start you on the passion path of development.Cheryl also relates stories of real-life people (including her own family members) who have found their passion. Some of these individuals took the evolving path, some took the crisis path; but no matter how they got there, each one has found a life we can all be envious of. In addition, Cheryl helps audience members brainstorm to conquer the obstacles they're facing on their own paths to passion. As you listen to these tapes, Cheryl will inspire you to face your fears, to be open to trying new endeavors, and to take action when the universe opens a door of opportunity for you, because, as Cheryl points out, the bottom line is that the world needs your talent and gifts!
Library Journal - Library JournalBelieving that everyone has a unique contribution to make to the world, Richardson presents a plan of action to help people discover and implement a way of living that reflects their personal passion(s) that involves locating and participating in a safe support group and identifying blocks. Through skillfully edited lectures, the author includes examples for each step based on audience participation. Her practical style and sense of humor help to defuse much of the anxiety and panic that many people seem to feel when addressing this topic. For instance, she advises that most people need to clear out the clutter and successfully take care of life's basics (e.g., pay the bills) as a first step toward being free to follow one's passion. The sound quality of this program is excellent. For further information on how the process works, check out Richardson's Take Time for Your Life and her web site.
