Carrie Olguin is happily married to a devoted husband and has one son, one daughter, and one dog - all three are adopted. Her son plays ice hockey.

She has a BA degree in Communications and held several different technical jobs before opting to be a devoted domestic engineer.

She published 12 non-fiction books for the model horse hobby before making her fiction debut with the Five Worlds series.
